After visiting my in-laws, my hubby and I decided to head to toast box for our brunch. As the weather was pretty cold, I decided to settle for some hot soup so I ordered their noodle soup with sausage. It was pretty disappointing. The noodles they used were instant noodles. And the noodles seemed a little overcooked. It was soft and a little mushy. The soup was pretty blend as well. The only thing nice about this noodles was the sausage. I dun think I will be ordering this again.

disappointing pineapple rice OK Mar 13, 2012

My kids decided to treat my hubby and I for dinner at bali thai today. We ordered a variety of dishes, from the tom yum soup to the mango salad. What made me disappointed is the pineapple rice. We ordered a fairly large portion for the four of us. When the rice came, it was cold and not hot at all. Could not tell that they even fried the rice before serving. The rice was clumpy and stuck together. It was kind of bland as well. Luckily the other dishes saved the meal but I was still quite disappointed with the pineapple rice.

wrong drink choice OK Mar 12, 2012

I went shopping at bugis with my daughter, after hours of shopping, we got really tired and thirsty so we decided to get our drink from happy lemon. After staring at the menu for quite some time, I decided to get the lemon green tea in jumbo size. When my drink came, I was filled with disappointment. It turned out so sour until I can feel the hair at the back of my neck stand. Somehow I thought the green tea would add some sweetness to the drink but it didn’t. it turned out to taste pretty bitter. With a combination of extremely sour and bitter, I could only tell myself not to order this drink ever again. Next time I should try their latte series, my girl seemed to have enjoyed herself.

try the main course instead OK Mar 10, 2012

I met up with an old friend for some drinks at imm. She ordered the normal main course but I had my lunch before I went, so I just ordered their bubble milk tea. Their restaurant supposed to be a restaurant selling Taiwanese food, so I expected their bubble tea to have similar standards as to those selling outside, but it turned out rather disappointing. Their milk tea did not have the fragrant tea leaves taste. the pearls were was kind of stuck together and somehow stained the side of the cup making it look a little unappetizing. But my friend found her main course pretty good, so I guess this place specialty is their food and not their drink.

honey green tea OK Mar 10, 2012

Categories : Stall / Kiosk | Desserts and Cakes

my daughter got me and my hubby a cup of bubble tea from her school bubble tea stall. apparently it was rather pricey cos I felt that my honey green tea tasted exactly like the one from sweetalk and it cost her $1.80. the green tea did not really taste like those specially brewed from tea leaves kind. I think they added a little too much honey for my drink, it tasted somehow quite sweet. luckily I drank my drink when we got home and some of the ice had melted or else I think it will be pretty sweet.
