Soup spoon at bugis OK Aug 14, 2011

Settle lunch at soup spoon with my friends. Basically, there are a wide variety to choose from.

So i ordered this for lunch! taste not bad

I like the concept of soup spoon. It comes with a bread or sandwich or roll.

According to their website-
All time favourite (Available daily)

Beef Goulash (Beef/Dairy/Gluten Free/307cal)

Prime beef cut stewed with the infamous paprika and loaded with starchy vegetables to make it a meal in itself.
Boston Clam Chowder (Seafood/Pork/Dairy/Gluten/425cal)
Each scoop contains chunky clams mixed with the celery greens and potatoes that are so soft they simply melt in the mouth. In contrast, the chewiness of the clams and the crunchiness of the celery bring about a wholesome meal.

Meatless Minestrone with Gremolata (Vegetarian/DairyGlueten/194cal)

Feast for the eyes with the wonderful burst of colours - the green and white flesh of zucchinis, the blood red kidney beans, the plump tomatoes, the fragrant aroma of fresh basil and the multi-coloured farfarlle. Thick with ingredients, each mouthful is a burst of flavours with the gremolata giving a slight garlicky after taste.

Roasted Pumpkin with Caramelized Apple & Toasted Almonds (Vegetarian/Dairy Free/Gluten Free/130cal)
Pumpkin roasted to perfection with a blend of spices. The apple & almonds give a surprise flavour and added crunch.

Tangy Tomato with Basil (Vegetarian/Dairy/Gluten/266cal)
Concocted by Souper Chef, Anna Lim. It is a vegetarian puree of roasted tomatoes and basil. Orangey hue with a tinge of red, this soup is creamy and has the smell of freshly roasted tomatoes blended to perfection. On first taste, it slides down the throat with smoothness, first tasting tangy and then slightly spicy…leaving a warm tingling after taste.

Tokyo Chicken Stew (Chicken/Dairy Free/Gluten Free/177cal)
Succulent chicken seasoned in The Soup Spoon’s homemade marinade to form the delectable teriyaki flavoring known the world over. Simple and authentic, the marinated chicken is simmered in a broth of sake and mirin with an assortment of oriental vegetables like lotus roots, shitake, enoki mushroom, white radish, bamboo shoots making this a hearty and well balanced meal.

Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff (Vegetarian/Dairy/Gluten/252cal)
Feels almost like eating fresh mushrooms out of the field. The mushrooms are so smooth, they glide down the throat. This soup is overpowering with the aroma of mushrooms perfect for mushroom lovers.

I feel that this concept works out to make people feel healthy about the food they ordered and eat. Interesting meal. Would come back some day! smile

Paradise dynasty for dinner Smile Aug 10, 2011

Categories : Shanghainese | Restaurant | Dim Sum | Noodles

My friends and i met up for dinner. We were not sure where to eat. We saw this restaurant call Paradise Dynasty. There was a poster featuring its world's first 8 flavoured xiao long bao! without hesitation, we took a waiting number and wait for our turn to get a seat inside.

We order 2 basket of 8 flavoured xiao long bao, 1 basket of normal xiao long bao and 1 basket of 8 black truffle xiaolongbao. We ordered and waiting for the meal to arrive.

After waiting for about 10 minutes, the food arrived. The colour of the xiao long baos sure look appetizing! It look too gorgeous to be eaten down!

This is a close view of the 8 flavour xiao long baos

The 8 flavours were as follow

The original (white)
Ginseng (green)
Foie gras (brown)
Black truffle (black)
Cheese (yellow)
Crab roe (orange)
Garlic (grey)
Szechuan (pink)

It taste too good to be true! and only cost 13.80 dollars for 8 flavoured xiao long baos! Considering the ingredients needed to make them is worth the value. I WILL RECOMMEND THIS

But having xiao long baos for dinner is totally not filling at all. So i ordered a bowl of noodle.

The noodle taste normal and the soup taste really nice and simple.

Overall, the environment is really great. Not only it is clean, the service is excellent! i will definitely come here again!

Spending per head: Approximately $13.80(Dinner)

I ordered this double shrimp burger. Firstly, i thought it would be those kind of process meat and made into a patty but however i was WRONG! I was deeply wrong after my first bite. In fact i was kinda shock because...

There are really shrimp within the patty itself! I look the burger and how it taste especially! I would not mind eating this next time. smile

Prawn from OCK OK Jan 24, 2012

Categories : Singaporean | Halal

I bought this prawn from Old chang kee at boon lay, jurong point. This has been my favourite ever since old chang kee made its inception to outlets in singapore. However, my personal observation is that the prawn seem to be degrading in quality. It seems very different when compare in the past where the prawn are much better. This stick contain up to 4 prawn. It is also one of the expensive 'sticks' in the outlet too. smile

Sashimi again. :) OK Jan 24, 2012   (Related Review)

Because i look salmon so much. I decide to purchase more this time round. This time i bought it at after 9 because i was rushing from someway else. To my surprise they are having 30% discount. This is because they cannot keep the food and have sell it cheap to prevent wastage of food that is being thrown away.

The salmon sushi taste not bad but however i do not like the combination of mayonnaise with salmon cause the taste is being drawn away by the mayonnaise itself. smile
