Fresh Delicious Fishballs Smile Jan 27, 2012

Categories : Food Court

At 4pm, I was slightly hungry but because it was almost dinner time so I wanted something light. When I saw the fishballs displayed on this stall, I thought it was a good idea to have a bowl of fishball soup.

Fresh Fishballs

A bowl of fishball soup with 8 fishballs caused $3.15 (with discount), quite ok to me. The fishball was tender and soft, very fresh yet not fishy. Taste like those handmade fishballs from the market. It was also not salty and it tasted even better with some chilli padismile

Herbal Chicken Smile Jan 11, 2012

This is the first time I came to this Kopitiam. It was on the highest floor, open space area, like the food court at Somerset 313. The ambience was very good. It was slightly before lunch time and the crowd was not in yet. I had a tough time deciding what to eat.

Roasted Delight

I noticed that though this stall sells roasted delights, it has Herbal Chicken. It has been a while since I last ate one. I decided to have this.

I requested for red cut chilli padis and added a sufficient amount into the chicken.

The herbal taste was not too strong but the chicken was very tender. Not too salty, suited me well. With the chilli padis, it was very good. Only $5.40 with the Kopitiam card. Came with rice at no extra charge.

Spicy Beef with Mushroom Smile Jan 11, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Food Court | Steaks and Grills

This was the first time I ate at the Kopitiam at the Thomson Plaza, didn't even realise there was one here. It was almost 3pm and the food court was a quite empty. Though I didn't have a good experience with the Pepper Lunch at Vivo City, I didn't mind giving this one a try. I ordered my favourite Spicy Beef with Mushroom.

The serving was fast but again they forgot the soup. The portion was acceptable. After I snapped this photo, I quickly stirred and mixed it up to make sure that the beef and mushroom were properly cooked. Yummy! Hot and spicy. Beef was tender and mushroom was soft. The miso soup was a little salty. Overall --- delicious. smile

Fish is always welcome Smile Jan 06, 2012

After finishing the left-over from both my kids, which was not much, I was not really full yet. Therefore, I looked for something that was not so heavy. So I picked this fried fish bee hoon.

Fish is always welcome

$3.60 after Kopitiam card discount. Looked better than the fishball noodle. I requested for milk to be added so as to create an effect of tastier soup. The portion was reasonable with quite good number of pieces of fried fish. Fish tasted a little fishy but could be easily covered with the chilli padi. Overall was still good to my taste. Quite satisfied with it.

Yammy Prawn Noodle Smile Nov 16, 2011

Finally, I managed to have this stall updated on the Openrice list. I have been patronising this stall for more than 10 years. It is also very popular among the people working around this area. During lunch time, the queue was always very long.
Dry Beehoon

Dry Beehoon

This bowl of dry beehoon was $3. Their minimum order was $2.50. The shallots was fried by the seller themselves, that's why they tasted very fresh. I don't like those that were fried by in bulk by factories. Those normally have a very strong smell of low grade oil. I believe they were unhealthy too. The soup was very sweet. The portion was big for $3. As a whole, it was yummy.smile
