Salmon~ Smile Sep 22, 2011

Everywhere I go, I'll tend to order dishes with salmon. Honestly, I didn't expect much from Botak Jones since this isn't exactly their signature dish, but woah, it was indeed fresh and the sauce accompanying complimented the freshness. Not forgetting the brilliant baked potato that I'm addicted to, ( and I believe many others too ) it's still as nice~ And I'm biased towards their seasoned fries too! Find them much nicer than normal fries. Also, Botak Jones has a customer appreciation card - spend $10 and above to get a chop, valid for 6 months. So instead of the usual fish and chips, why not try this!

More than finger licking good  Smile Sep 22, 2011

This is my all time favourite: wedges! Though they are called Coffee Nations, their wedges are not to be belittled. Coupled with the cheese, it's more than finger-licking good. This can be shared with a friend or two, the warm cheese will definitely bring nods from all. An ideal snack to accompany the main dishes~

Slightly disappointed OK Sep 30, 2011

Went there with a friend with hopes of having a set of authentic Peranakan food and well, slightly disappointed. Firstly, I totally didn't expect them to serve their food in such a manner lol. The vegetables are pretty ordinary, though the chicken is quite nice; it's sweet. The soup seems to have a little too much pepper added while the Water Chestnut just taste like one from a can. And don't expect much from the dessert, it's just a really - really - mini bowl of Black Glutinous Rice ( Bubor Hitam ).

I'll only go back again when I'm really hungry before going for my tuition ha.

Too sweet Cry Sep 29, 2011

This Almond Cake was on a half price promotion and it's Swedish so I had quite high expectations but ah, definitely didn't live up to it. The first few bites were still okay, but it is really so sweet that I got sick of it after having just slightly more than half of it - I rarely waste food in this manner. Drank a lot of water while eating it as well but it didn't help. Will go for their Daim cake instead the next time.

Eel~ Smile Sep 28, 2011

On the whole, this eel with handmade noodles is nice, just that the portion is kind of small. The noodles is really like the q q type, and the eel tastes pretty fresh as well. The waiter who took our orders was a little impatient just cause of the insist of having no ice for the yuan yang though.
