One of The Best Dim Sum  Smile Sep 24, 2011

They serve one of the best Hongkong style dimsum in Singapore. It is one of the usual place me and my sisters have our weekend brunch ;).

Few of the recommended dimsum we tried before. Their 'xiao long bao', I feel that this is better than the crystal jade one and on par with Dim Tai Fung.

Next, the custard bun. I heard they said Taste Paradise serves a better custard bun, I myself have not tried before but this Imperial Treasure custard bun did a good job as well. The custard mixed with butter and york melted in your month immediately...

The BBQ pork pastry has this crispy flakes and tasty char siew filling, with this honey fragrance.

Some other dim sum like carrot cake, char siew bun, guo tie worth a try too.

Yummy Tutti Smile Aug 30, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Desserts and Cakes

Tutti frutti is a frozen yogurt selling worldwide. But guess in Singapore, there's only one stall here beside Clementi Mall.

A bit different concept than Frolick, their main idea is more to self-service. Follow these simple steps to get you a cup of your own favour yogurt!

(1) Choose your yogurt of the day- you can choose from 10 over flavour. Can mix whatever you like. If you are not sure about the taste, no worries, get the friendly waiter to help you, you can taste the yogurt before hand. 100g is ard $3.70. How much is 100g? Roughly 2 rounds of the yogurt. I would recommend the flavour: Tutti frutti and guava.

(2) Self-service machine, take your own yogurt.

(3) Self-service toppings counter - 10 over toppings for you to choose from!

(4) Pay smile

Alright, self-service get you to experience the 'making' your own flavour yogurt but one disadvantage is you never know how much you need to pay for the yogurt until the last step. So, must have self-control, if 'syok sendiri' , too excited over it and get too much yogurt.. you can put it back tongue

Not About The Fries ♥ Smile Aug 21, 2011

Categories : Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches

It named itself Everything With Fries but I guess what really make them special is not about the fries.

Went there as the bf has an urge of fries desire but what make us wanna go back for another try was not the fries. In fact, the fries itself although comes with different flavours for you to choose: original, curry, garlic herb, sour onion and salt vinegar but it is not hand cut and doesn't really stand out to the other. Their food and marinated sauce perhaps is the thing that hold you back.

Take for example the 'One Egg Soup', as the name says, it is from one egg. Yolk used as the base together with chicken broth made up the soup, and the white, with some butter and flour deep fried into some crispy bites placed on top of the soup. Nicely done and taste perfectly. lol

Wild NZ King Salmon is the must try I would say. They used breadcrumbs which makes the salmon have this crispy out and melting in.

Tendoori Chicken Sandwich comes with a sweet marinated sauce. Tasty as well.

For all the main dish, the portion is quite big and satisfying. Yup, definitely a nice place to go for good food. bowl

Spending per head: Approximately $25(Dinner)

One of the 'MUST' try restaurant  Smile Aug 15, 2011

Well, you can never miss it although most of their outlets are quite 'ulu' , not so easily accessible shopping complex or food court.

They make their name of their generous quantity of food, maintained standard yet much affordable price.

For a meal less than $8, you can enjoy a sumptuous and tasty western specialties. Showcase two of their main courses tried.

P/s: If you would like to visit this restaurant, especially during weekends.. go early.!! The queue is the only thing that may scare you off.

Tasty Stew Smile Aug 14, 2011

Categories : Korean | Restaurant | Kids-Friendly

With my bf, we tried the Korean Seoul restaurant in Orchard Central.

We ordered a seafood stew. It is in Kimchi soup base. Taste nice and not very spicy, although it looked quite spicy red in the photo.

Shooting star... marinated chicken on hot plate. This is normal but still up to standard.

Steam Rice. The rice looked watery when it first served. But when in your mouth, it didn't taste that soft. The texture is just nice.

Well, overall the food experience was a great one. Nice food, nice atmosphere and affordable price. Saw quite a number of people ordered their ginseng chicken soup, maybe can try it next time!
