Where's my prawn mee Cry Jan 14, 2014
Categories : Food Court | Noodles

Dad is feeling good and decide to treat us. He orders a serving of prawn noodle soup and a serving of fishball noodle dry. But we are served pork rib noodle soup instead of the ordered prawn noodle soup, When the server is being questioned, he is like acting nothing happens. We are all shocked and it seems similar cases also happen to tables next to us. Overall the standard of the dish has dropped. The soup is not as flavourful as it used to be.

Halal Restaurant in Downtown Area Cry Dec 19, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Restaurant | Steaks and Grills

It is not easy to find a place that is halal and great for gathering. Which is why it bring us here. Delicious origins from Malaysia and is quite well known in KL.

Fish and chips ($22.90)
The fish does not taste fresh to me.

Classic Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream ($9.90)
The dessert tastes average.

Mango Freeze ($4)
This must be the worst mango freeze I have ever had. First it does not like anything like a freeze. Ever 7-11's Slurpee looks much better than this. Secondly it does not taste like mango too. In fact it is more like iced peach tea. I have confirmed with the staff if it is Mango Freeze. Don't think will order this again.

Overall quite disappointed by the food I will think twice about coming here again.

Not so tasty donuts Cry Dec 01, 2013
Categories : American | Bakery

I have bought a voucher for a box of 6 donuts from online for $6.40. Today I have come to this outlet to redeem the voucher. The outlet is a takeaway outlet at the bus interchange, with the donuts colourfully displayed. Each donuts is priced around $1.70 to $2.20.

I have selected plain cake glazed, chocolate cake glazed, peanut butter jelly, white chocolate almond, Flag and Mr Happy, which costs $1.70 each. Mr Happy has a smiling face which is actually banana donut with custard filling.

The donuts are packed into a colourful box with pictures of its products.

But the donuts do not taste great. They taste dry and too much flavouring. Overall quite disappointing.

A new dessert place Cry Nov 18, 2013
Categories : Chinese Desserts | Desserts and Cakes

This new dessert place is located in front of the food court and has a good view of the fountain. Based on the attractive poster by the place, we decide to have dessert here. We spend quite awhile looking for a table. There is a number of unoccupied tables but are filled with leftover and unclean. In the end, we have to get a cleaning aunty to come over to clean for me.

As there is an on going promotion of 10% discount if we show the staff that we liked the outlet's Facebook page. I have tried but cannot find the page. I asked the staff for help but she too has problem finding. Another staff next to her, asks for our order and does not give us discount. Hey! It is not that we do not want to LIKE your Facebook, but cannot find your page. Even your own staff also cannot find it. Maybe next time the outlet should create a promotion poster with QR code. That's will be easier. The staff who accepts our payment still has the cheek to act blur and walk away, even after I question her. She refuses to answer me. What's kind of service is this. I do not think I will be back in the near future.

A pager is given after making payment. One has to collect the deserts oneself after the pager sounds.

I am having the Signature Chendol ($3.20), which looks quite good. But tastes too sweet for me. The amount of shaved ice is way too little. The sago pearls taste frozen. There is not enough milk in this dessert. Overall it tastes quite average, more like the food court type. Therefore not worth its $3.20 price tag.

My 2 friends are having the Yam in A Husk ($4.20) each. It is actually hot mashed yam served in a coconut. From the top, I could only see milk and tastes quite watery. The coconut used is quite old as the flesh is hard.

Overall the desserts still need much improvement. Service has lots of room for improvement.

Another dinner here Cry Nov 08, 2013
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Restaurant | Noodles | Rice

Being a weekday, it is quite quiet here.

There is rice set,and noodles set, etc. For week day, there is also special value meals too and comes with free flow drink and ice cream.

If you have ordered 2 set meal and have a kid with you, you only need to pay 50% for the lower priced set meal. Good meal isn't it.

The Chawan Mushi ($3.10) here is served in a tea cup. The steamed egg is very smooth, with some shredded chicken inside.

The Siew Mai ($0.80) comes highly recommended by the staff, and tastes quite nice.

Tonight I am having the Creamy Curry Chicken Wing Spaghetti($7.90). It is too jelat for me and I give up eating after a few mouthful.

The value meal comes with free flow assorted drinks and ice-cream. There is about 6 flavours of ice cream available such as yam, lime, matcha, jackfruit, and cookies and cream. There is also soft serve available too.

Overall it has fast service, but the food standard is getting from bad to worse.
