Bland Hor Fun Cry Jun 13, 2013

Ipoh Hor Fun ($2.50)
Today I have no lunch partner and too lazy to go too far for lunch, so end coming here. As it is almost end of lunch time, there is not much choice available. The serving is not big, presentation looks dry. The char siew slices looks dull and not crispy at all. The sauce mixed with the hor fun is a bit too bland, not spicy or salty enough for me. The soup is salty enough but also seems to taste of msg too.

Bland Drink Cry Jun 13, 2013   (Related Review)

Honey Milk Tea ($1.50)
I order a honey milk tea. At $1.50 it is much cheaper than usual bubble tea stalls. In this stall, you are not asked what sugar level you want, so I think the aunty standardised the drink herself. But the taste of the drink is too bland for me. I cannot taste the tea in this drink.sad But then again for this cheap price, I cannot be complaining too much.

Dry bread Cry Jun 07, 2013
Categories : Bakery

There is a ongoing promotion of $1 for all bread available, from 5-11pm. As it is quite late, the aunty asks me to buy 3 for $2.50. I think it is a good deal and go for it. But what a mistake it is.

The ham and cheese is hard and dry.

The mushroom bun is hard and dry too. The mushroom slices look dry up.

The sponge cake is rather dry, even little JJ does not like it. I feel difficult to finish it without any water.

4 pieces for $3.50 Cry Jun 01, 2013
Categories : Hawker Centre

1 piece is selling at $1 but 4 pieces is selling at $3.50. So I get 4 pieces.
The fried banana is big but not sweet and very oily.
The 3-in-1 is too creamy in taste. It tastes of mashed taro, mashed tapoica and rice cake. I feel that the rice cake is not sweet enough.
The curry puff's skin is too thick. The feeling is not spicy, very bland to me.
The fried tapoica kueh is not sweet enough too.
Overall the crispy skin of the fried items is too hard. I feel that there is too much baking powder added.

Hong Kong Style Snack Cry Jun 01, 2013
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong

A small stall selling hong kong style road side snacks.

Order egglet in chocolate and chestnut flavour. After making the egglet, the staff will place it in a paperbag and turns on the fan to cool it down. Interesting. The egglet is hollow inside and very hard outside.

Also order its Hong Kong Style Milk Tea which tastes quite watered down for me.

Total amount costs $10.
