Pasta Again? == OK Nov 23, 2011
Categories : Italian | Restaurant | Pasta

Pasta again. However, after looking at some new fusion items on the menu, and seeing that it was rather cost-effective, I decided to give it one more shot recently, with no regrets.

I started with the chicken wings ($3.90), which were two freshly deep fried and rather oily dark coloured wings.

I then had the Seafood Tom Yum Pasta set ($14.40) which came with a creamy chicken soup and drink. The tom yum paste was not well mixed up in the pasta so I had to "work" for my dinner by doing some mixing - but when that was done I must admit that the combination of that and a mushroom cream sauce worked out well. Also, it had generous portions of seafood ingredients like clam, prawn and squid so it was a sumptuous late night dinner.

I also tried the Prawn Aglio Linguine ($8.90), and that dish reminded me of why I have not been to PastaMania in awhile - as it was lacking in taste.

Cha Time! Smile Nov 18, 2011

My first visit to this newly opened milk tea store and the queue was quite decent. I tried the roasted milk tea with grass jelly. It tastes quite nice with different flavour of the grass jelly I have tasted before. Still it is okay to try. It quenched my thirst on the hot day. (: You can customize your toppings to your liking and choose your sugar and ice options. Prices are reasonable, as most drinks are below $5. They pay attention to the consistency and taste of the tea they use, as well as the toppings being just right.
Try it!!

Today instead of going to KOI which is renowned for its long queue I decided to go to Comebuy which is nearer and faster in term of buying.

I tried the Ultimate QQ milk tea and WOW. The milk tea tastes good and it rejuvenated me from my thirst. The bubble is very chewy and the size is decent enough to have a longer time to chew and enjoy the drink. It also comes with the chewy jelly which adds up to the value.

Japanese Ramen Smile Nov 18, 2011

Love the Ramen!!!
The soup is deliciously thick and flavourful. The most amazing ingredient in that bowl of ramen is the hard boil egg. I love the runny bright yellow egg yolk while the whites are all set. It always makes me wonder how they do that. If guys prefer rice, they can go for the tonkatsu rice set. The meat is so tender that it doesnt taste like pork. Prices are a tag expensive. I feel like I,m paying $3-$5 more for similar dish in this restaurant than others.
Must try dishes: kyushu kurobuta charshu ramen, tonkatsu ramen,Tonkatsu rice set

Cheap Treat Cry Nov 16, 2011

Categories : American | Fast Food | Halal | Burgers and Sandwiches

This afternoon I visited Burger King to do my project work. As a guest I must order something to use the table, thus I decided to give myself a sweet treat.

I ordered, the Dutch Apple Pie for $2.95 and also Passion Fruit Sundae for $1.50.

Firstly, the Dutch Apple Pie does not taste as good as what I have paid for the price. Prefer the Taro one. I will not order this dish again.

While for the Passion Fruit Sundae, it just tastes as other sundaes that I have tried. Nothing special except that you can find the seeds of the passion fruit. This one is okay,

I also ordered the onion rings for $2.80. Guess how shocked I was. They gave me only like 10 pieces of those onion rings. So stingy and disappointing.
