Filet-O-Fish Lover :) Smile Jan 05, 2012

From young till now, most of the time when I go to Macs, I would either have Filet-O-Fish or Chicken Nuggets. So when Mac was having a promo 1-for-1 for their Filet-O-Fish, I didnt hesitate to ask my brother to get it for me. Since my mum was not going to cook our dinner, my bro went to buy 2 Filet-O-Fish burgers back home.

The Filet-O-Fish was not that warm anymore when he reached home. Since he bought 2, there were 2 Filet-O-Fish burgers free too. Just nice, as my 2 cousins were staying my hse, each of us had a burger each. The bun was soft, and the filet in between the 2 buns were still hot. One bite and you can feel the juiciness of the fish in your mouth, some even dripped on the table that I had to clean it away. The inside was moist too, and not dry. Cheese was abit of a letdown, though it was alwys like that, only half a piece in each burger.

Overall, although it was takeaway, the taste is still there though there wasnt any aroma left of it. Still the best burger I love that Mcdonald's have! smile

Dinner at Xin Wang Smile Jan 05, 2012
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong

My fren loves this place, so as we were meeting for dinner, without having to ask i alrdy knew where she was planning to bring me.

It was 6pm, mayb it was early, so there wasnt a queue when we got to the cafe. There were only a few people seated inside too. We were led to a booth at a corner, which has a circle table and sofa seats. It could accommodate about 4 ppl.

Ordered the chicken baked rice (I simply love baked rice), while my fren ordered baked spaghetti (it was actually supposed to be rice but the staff said it was alrite when my fren wanted to change it) smile. Service was pretty slow although there wasnt alot of ppl, and we waited quite a while before the food arrived. My fren's order was served wrongly for the 1st time (came as baked rice), but the waiter was very apologetic and immediately asked the kitchen to replace it. smile

The rice was just nice, not too dry and not too wet. A whole chicken leg was baked tgt with the rice, and lots of cheese on top. smile The colour was a nice golden colour and it looked really appetizing. A small flag with the words 'chicken' in chinese was also stuck on top of the baked rice; a really nice touch to it as it made the whole dish really stand out and also can prevent wrong orders. smile

Chicken was tender, though I removed the skin as i didnt liked it. When eating, a waitress came over and introduced us their membership card. As it was my fren's bdae month, the card will be cheaper. Although the waitress was abit persistent in asking us to sign up for the card (my fren eventually did sign up), she was polite and also explained to us patiently when we asked alot of questions regarding the card.

Overall, the staff's service was good and the food is nice too. Will patronise this outlet again as the staff here tend to be more polite and service is good too. lol

Edo Sushi at Lot 1 OK Jan 03, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi | Kids-Friendly

Went shopping with my fren and as I was hungry, decided to get something to eat. Edo Sushi was just around the corner so decided to buy a packet of sushi to satisfy my hunger till dinner time.

There was no queue when I got there, so payment was pretty fuss-free. Normally when it is at night, it will be quite crowded around this stall booth, as they will have a discount after 9pm.

The sushi pack which I bought consisted of 2 crabsticks and 1 egg sushi. Although there are many different types of sushi, I only buy those which are cooked and which I dared to eat, so you wouldnt catch me eating any sushi with raw toppings. mad

The crabstick sushi was alrite, though I find I dislike the taste of crabsticks more and more now, though I managed to finish up the 2 of them. The egg sushi was ok too, tasted pretty normal and nothing too special about it.

Overall, the sushi tasted ok only and I feel it is pretty ex for such a small packet. Would go to sushi restaurants to eat sushi next time though as I feel the taste would be nicer and price will be more worth it.

Bread from Roti Tiam Smile Jan 03, 2012

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Bakery

My dad loves to eat at the nearby food court here so we often drop by to get some bread for breakfast the next day. The bread here has many varieties, though as we alwys go quite late, not alot were left. My dad chose a loaf of raisin bread, while I chose the cheese bread (which was baked with Parmesan cheese on top and chicken floss sprinkled over). smile

The raisin bread was not bad, it was airy, so was really soft. Dipped it with chocolate milk and ate 3 slices at a go. lol There wasnt alot of raisins though, so raisin lovers may not like it (1 slice has only about 4 small pieces of raisins). I dun like raisins though I eat them, so it suit me just fine. ^^

The cheese bread, needless to say, was simply delicious (becos i loveee cheese!). There were 4 pieces of bread in a packet and all were finished before I managed to get a photo of it. mad The cheese just goes very well with the bread and the floss makes everything perfect. A perfect combination which is simply indescribable! smile

Overall, I like the bread bought from here as it is pretty nice to eat. Even my dad thinks so (He has quite a picky mouth, hehe). tongue

My 1st drink from Gong Cha Smile Jan 03, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Taiwanese | Chinese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

My friends were always raving about how good and nice Gong Cha was, but as I wasnt a big fan of bubble-teas and the likes, i usually brush them off and stand aside while they were queue-ing for it. However, as I was thirsty and there wasnt a shop selling drinks except Gong Cha around, I decided to ask my friend to get me a honey lemon when my friend was queue-ing in the line. Luckily they had honey lemon, if not I wouldnt want to get anything even though i was really thirsty. (I simply adore honey lemon) tongue

My fren passed me my honey lemon, and I took a sip. Surprising, their honey lemon was not bad at all! It was actually quite nice and soothing to the throat on such a hot and humid weather. It wasnt too sweet either (since we get to choose our preferred sweetness). It didnt take me long to finish the whole cup and wanting to buy another one. tongue

Overall, will buy their honey lemon again, though it was take some persuading from my frens for me to buy their other drinks.
