The bread from Roti Mum never fails to amaze me. The queue at the outlet in IMM is alwys long, and the smell of the coffee bread could be smelt even from the entrance of IMM.

My dad wanted to go to the Supermarket to buy some fruits, and we walked past Roti Mum. There was only 4 ppl queuing, so I asked my dad to join the queue to buy the bread for me.

The outlet alwys have a promo of Buy 5 get 1 free, which in total you get 6 bread, at a price of $6.50. We bought all 6 coffee-flavoured, though sometimes my sis will ask for 1 to be chocolate, since it was her favourite and she didnt like coffee.

When we got back into my dad's car, the smell of the bread immediately made the whole car smell like coffee, the aroma was really nice and enough to make a person hungry. However, as my dad dislikes us eating in the car, we had to wait till we got home before we could have one.

I love how the packaging of the bread was as there were instructions at the back telling you how to reheat the bread and the ways you can do it. Most of the time when you buy breads from bakeries, the most was that the breads were placed in a box, with their logo etc. This packaging is really detailed. Reheated my coffee bread in the oven, as I wanted it to be crisp and piping hot (Though it was still warm). Placed it back into the paper bag, and it still looked as though i just bought it. The exterior of the bread was crispy at the sides, and soft in the middle. The insides are fluffy, and there is a buttery-like taste. Not sure what it is, but something like mayo is inside the bread, which makes it really nice. The coffee aroma just engulf you while eating.

Overall, still the nicest coffee bread I've tried, and needless to say, i will go back for more. ^^

I have never eaten at Cafe Cartel before, nor step foot into one outlet. Not until this time, when my fren pulled me there; to queue for their cakes.

We were at Bukit Panjang Plaza shopping and it was almost 9pm. My fren asked me to accompany her to Cafe Cartel as there were 50% off cakes after 9pm. Said that the cakes there were heavenly, to which i replied i nv dined there before. LOL.

When we got to level 1, there was alrdy a short queue in front of us. The cakes were very expensive, and I'm talking about a slice, not a whole cake, which may be why people are rushing to buy when they are having an offer. We saw people buying up to abt 5-8slices each, so the cakes are practically flying off the shelves. Luckily we were among the 1st few, so we got a few variety to choose from.

My fren bought 1 and gave it to me, saying it was a treat since i treated her last time. The cake was placed in a plastic packaging, whereas if one gets ard 6-8 cakes, a box will be provided. It was chocolate cake, my favourite.

The taste of the cake was really nice, it's like those melt in your mouth kind, simply indescribable until you try it yourself. It was soft, and kind of creamy and spongy cake in between. It looks plain, but the taste is there. The chocolate shreds at the side of the cake helps to make the cake nicer too.

Overall, best cake I've ever tasted. Waiting for the next time when I'll be dropping by a Cafe Cartel Outlet.

P.S. Do queue up early so that you will be able to choose from more flavours. If too late, there wont be much choices to choose from.

I think there isnt any other person who is so crazy about the teriyaki chicken set from Yoshinoya. Everytime I went there, be it myself or with my frens, my choice would remain the same - Teriyaki chicken set.

This time round, I went alone to Causeway Point to have my lunch as no one cooked at home and my frens were busy. I went directly straight to Yoshinoya, put down my bags on one empty table and went to order my food. It was a weekday so it was pretty quiet; there was only 2 other customers sitting down eating when i paid for my teriyaki chicken rice set. Used my student card so that i could choose the student meal, which was cheaper at $4.95. There were 2 choices for student meal, Choice 1 & 2, where 2 came with a side (tgt with a drink and main). I chose Choice 1, since i knew i had a small appetite and couldnt finish up if there was another side. The drinks available for the set was pretty limited; and all were gassy, which i didnt like. I changed the drink to ice lemon tea, which required an additional 50 cents top-up. Although it was expensive, i just changed it as it would be useless if i ordered the set but dun drink the drink too. :X

The food was served pretty fast, since Yoshinoya's setting was pretty much like fast food restaurants. Went to my table and started eating, but felt there was too little teriyaki sauce given. Went to the cashier and requested additional sauce, and to my surprise i was given a small cupful of it. Thought there would be extra charges but there wasnt.

There were quite alot of veggies and chicken this time i ordered. The veggies were nice and soft ( i like it this way ), and i finished all of it except the cabbage, which i didnt like (There was a mixture of carrots, long beans, broccoli and cabbage). Not sure whether request for additional veggies would cost more but you can try if you like to eat veggies.

The chicken was not too hard, though there was some fat here and there. The chicken skin was soggy as the teriyaki sauce had been poured over it, but it was still nice.

Overall, not bad, and of cos i would still come here to eat. The food is considered cheap for a 'fast food' Japanese place, and isnt as unhealthy as fast food since rice isnt deep fried like fries. One thing to note though, you may want to go earlier as the place starts to fill up once lunch time is approaching.

Finally dined in Causeway Point Pastamania. Everytime i wanted to have Pastamania, I would call for delivery, and the food would be delivered from the Pastamania Outlet in Sun Plaza, although i stay in Woodlands. Not sure but mayb it's becos the one at Woodlands Causeway Point doesnt do deliveries.

Went for lunch with my classmate at ard 1.30pm, and the place was 3/4 full. We placed an order after deciding what to order. I ordered a Ham cheesy crumble, while my fren ordered a Basil chicken aglio olio. There was a set of a side and drink which will cost another additional $4.90 only if we purchased a main course, so we decided to order 1 set. We upsized the drink and got another cup so that both of us could just share 1set. (Hehe, we wanted to save money)

Our food arrived at our table in about 10mins. The Ham cheesy crumble i felt tasted nicer than when i call for delivery (mayb becos its freshly cooked and eaten, unlike delivery where some time is spent waiting and delivering the food to my hse). The cheese portion on top was just nice, and there were some ham slices sprinkled around the plate (not alot though). The spaghetti was cooked to just nice, wasnt too hard or soft.

The side we ordered was cheese sticks, and it was really nice! A MUST TO ORDER FOR CHEESE LOVERS!!! The whole stick was filled with melted cheese and you can feel the cheese melting out when u bite it. Simply delicious!

Drink we ordered was ice lemon tea, and I felt there was too much ice inside the cup alrdy. My friend has the Pastamania card, so we got an additional 15% off our total bill.

My fren was off today so we decided to meet-up. We were really hungry so we decided to just dine at Causeway Point since we were there. As it was a long time since i ate Ajisen, we went there for our lunch. It was ard 2pm alrdy, so there wasnt alot of ppl in the restaurant. There was a student promo, showed my student pass and I got 10% off my set meal. I ordered a Chashu ramen set ($10.90), while my fren got a Tom yum set ($11.90). We could choose either green tea or lemon tea, but both of us chose lemon tea. We could choose a side too, i chose the fried chicken while my fren chose the maki set. A paper with the food available was provided for us to write the food we want before ordering.

Service was pretty slow, we waited for quite some time before the food arrived. The drinks were served to us fast though, we got it almost immediately after we placed an order. My chashu ramen was nice, and i managed to finish it. There were a few different ingredients in it, but i felt there were too little meat. There was alot of beansprouts though. The noodles were springy and the soup was quite salty.

There was only 4pcs of fried chicken given, but i only managed to eat 1. It wasnt very nice, it was hard. I was also very full after finishing my chashu ramen.

Overall, food is acceptable, though i will get another side dish if i were to visit again.
