The menu here was pretty extensive and reading thru other people's reviews, we tried some of their favourites:
Onion Bhaji - my kids attacked this dish as its a starter. They loved it so much they even ate their deep fried curry leaves that was in it! Hubby said this was like extreme Muruku. Onion strips with Muruku coating! Must eat there, fresh and crispy!

Butter Chicken - buttery and creamy and just delightful. My girl was practically drinking the sauce!

Mutton Tikka - they didn't have it on their menu but this is a FAVOURITE dish of my hubby's and their chef very generously said yes. So they made that dish specially for him. It was also another hit with my children. Even I was impressed. I have tried many others and theirs was really one of the better ones.

Rogan Josh - lamb chunks cooked in spicy curry. I swear mutton is not the easiest meat to handle and they do it right! And the curry sauces are seriously distinct from each other but still oh-so-yummy!!!

Aloo Gobi - I was slightly disappointed when I saw their it was quite dry with no sauce. But the taste just knocked my socks off. Seriously one of the best Aloo Gobi I have eaten. I could finish bowls of this!

Chicken Biryani - this was served in this deceptively small bowl with lovely spiced rice and tenderly cooked chicken chunks. My girls LOVED the chicken in this dish. And after many spoons of rice was eaten, the bowl still looked kinda half full!! Hub and I was so full after we finished the rice but no regrets there.

Butter and Garlic Naans - this was another great dish. We ordered 2 first and then had to top up with another naan. Evident that my girls were just packing the naans away!!!

We are seriously fans of this very understated eatery now. The service is swift and very sincere. 👍🏼👍🏼

Brilliant Coffee Smile Jul 22, 2016

Had a free day to enjoy a leisure lunch with hubby.

We had their daily set lunch offers and that included a pasta, a soup of the day and a coffee/tea.

We had their Mushroom Soup to start and its served in a large coffee cup - cute. Their mushroom soup certainly tasted homemade and very velvety. Their soup came served with a blob of cream and when you mix it in yourself, it just added another layer of sensation to the soup experience. Haha...

Hubby and I had their Anchovy Pasta and their Kecap Manis Pasta.

I loved the Kecap Manis Pasta as its really quite a familiar home-y flavour. Almost something my grandma would make and I put pasta in it. Delightful!

I thought the Anchovy Pasta a tad too fishy for me. Hubby thought differently as he found the pasta very flavourful. We both thought the serving of pasta is generous and worth every cent of the set pricing.

Coffee here definitely doesn't disappoint at all. I always drink my coffee (Ang mo type or kopitiam) with sugar as it is always a tad too bitter for me. I ordered a latte here and I could just drink it without sugar and really fully tasting the coffee in it!! Wonderful way to end a good meal!!

A most happy find in the Toa Payoh and my new hangout place!!!

So worth the wait Smile Jul 09, 2016

This is an old FAVOURITE place my mind to get my prawn mee fix.

Soup - flavourful every mouthful!

Prawn - fresh but I thought last time used to be bigger?!?

Pork ribs - very tasty that even my kids endorse !

I always end up buying the big portions because the wait is SO long! But it's super worth it I promised!

Crackling it is! Smile Jun 22, 2016

Had a lunch set here and it was delightful!

When your Makan stall name has the word 'crackling' in it, you better damn well mean it.

And they DO!! The set lunch included 2 types of pork, best way to describe is basically angmoh char Siew and angmoh seo Bak. I topped up $1 for angmoh roasted potatoes which were pretty good. A tad dry but that's style of cooking and not lack of cooking skills.

The star was their CRACKLING seo Bak! The skin really very crunchy and tasty so every bite an enjoyment! Next star was the char Siew. The taste is really nice and the sweet braising sauce was a lovely touch!!

Very very enjoyable and very tasty lunch indeed. This would be come to if I'm here again.

Yummy Food > Bad Attitude Smile May 30, 2016

If you can put up with crappy attitude in search of good food, then this stall is ok with you.

Male boss usually takes orders and collects money from a table at the front of the Coffeeshop. When ordering, he makes you feel like he's doing you a favour by taking your orders. Oh well.

I put up with his unsmiling face to enjoy a big bowl of yummy fish meat Beehoon soup.

The soup is milky and tasty, with strong hints of cooking wine and the fish chunks are fresh too.

Yes, I will return to endure fowl face for good food. 😅
