Armed with vouchers, our gang of 4 decided to check out this pizza joint together...

1) Boston Special Pizza - the better pizza of the two we chose. Meaty and generous amount of cheese to hold it all together. Tasty and yummy.

2) Seafood Special Pizza - though not as good as the Boston Special, it was still nice. Rather generous with the ingredients too.

3) Fried Chicken Wings - Crispy and slightly spicy. Not too bad but it was slightly dry.

4) Clam Chowder - this is nothing great. Can give it a miss.

Not likely to return as the pizza from Sarpino's are just as good and they deliver too.

Not Bad... OK Dec 06, 2011

Dunno why I have never eaten at Thai Accent despite being in Vivo for countless times. Dad wanted to bring his client to Thai place for dinner and decided to go to a nearby place from Harbourfront. I didn't object as I thought it's as good a time to check out a new place.

Dad ordered quite a few dishes and I didn't get to try every one tho.
These were good stuff:
• Sambal Kang kong
• Pineapple Rice
• Thai Fishcake
• Deep fried fish
• Green Chicken Curry

This was ok lah:
• Pandan Chicken

Didn't expect this restaurant to serve quite decent spread. Can give Thai Express a run for its money. Save to say its more costly here too. sad

Better than expected OK Dec 06, 2011

Have always considered Pizza Hut to be fast food and have not eaten it for years. Decided to give it another try since they have revamped themselves.

For starters, the service staff at this outlet is very professional. The 3 who served us, you can tell they took pride in what they do. That fact alone made the meal looking good already!!

1) Garlic Clam Soup $5.90 - surprising nice. It's spicy from the Chilli padi and loads of garlic slices. The clams were not fishy tasting and juicy.

2) Spicy Seafood Patchment $14.50 - another spicy dish but I like. The flavor is not as authentic as it tasted like a improved version of canned tomato purée. It's not bad actually.

3) Meat Galore Stuffed Crust $28.90 - another nice surprise. It's a pan base so no crusty feel there. I like the taste and a slice alone is super filling.

I may not return soon but at least it was a nice dining experience. smile

Not a bad chillax place OK Dec 06, 2011

Catching a show at Drama Centre and thought Rocky Masters will be a good place for a quick bite. We ordered:

1) Mushroom Soup - we ordered a large one to share and it arrived with 2 slices of garlic bread. The serving size could fight the Soup Spoon and I find their mushroom soup better than Soup Spoon's. It's got real chunks of mushroom bits in it and not watery like some canned versions. It's good enough to stand as a meal. Thumbs up.

2) Laksa - the bowl arrived with the ingredients very pretty arranged. But who cares about looks if the taste is bad right? Wonderful surprise as the gravy is lemak and the ingredients plentiful. Worth the $8.90 pricing. Very nice indeed.

3) Baked Spinach Macaroni - portion is large and again the ingredients of Spinach, carrots, onions and cheese were not stingy. First bite...I found it bland and hubby thought so too. With a few dashes of salt, it's much tastier. Good dish of you like spinach, carrots and cheese because it had loads of them. Hubby liked it ok but there's no meat so it was not great for him.

It was a nice place and we MAY pop in again to check out other stuff.

Bought vouchers to check this place out. My eldest girl loves ramen so I thought like her be the judge of this. We got:

1) Chicken Ramen - the adults opted for the spicy version but the kids got the non-spicy ones. The shredded chicken meat was plentiful and the soup base was good too. We as adults preferred the spicy version.

2) Spicy Char Siew Ramen - I found the chat Siew here loads better than Ajisen. Many ramen stalls serve their char Siew as the sliced pork but here, it's kinda like braised pork chunks. Maybe not as authentic but I like the taste of it.

3) Tom Yam Fried Rice - my help doesn't fancy noodle so she ordered rice instead. The portion is HUGE! And with loads of ingredient. However, the Tom yam taste doesn't sit well with the dish leh?

This stall is tucked away in a far corner, so finding it was tough. It's a place I may return if in the area.
