Restaurant was quite quiet during lunch time. Hmm..

I upsized my pasta to include drink and soup. Soup was piping hot when it arrived so good. It was a tad too salty and no sure if they made the soup from scratch. I doubt it actually. But at least they included chunks of cauliflower and chicken shreds.

Chicken Pomodoro: the noodles are cooked al dente so that's good. The chicken chunks are marinated so it's already flavoured. The ingredients are also adequately given. Flavour is ok, cannot compare with gourmet restaurants but ok lah.

Beef Lasagne: I appreciate they alternating white sauce and tomato sauce in layering their pasta. The minced beef is a little sparing (if you know what I mean) but overall, my girl liked it.

Pizza Set (Kids Meal):
The pizza is TINY! Lucky my other girl is a small eater so just nice for her. It comes with 2 chicken mid-joint and a generous serving of fries. The pizza flavour is Hawaiian so if that's not your fav, tough luck. Meal comes with a small milo too.

It's not a cheap meal but the aircon is strong and the service is relatively quick. Will return.

Need time to enjoy lunch here OK Nov 23, 2016

Categories : Portuguese | Steaks and Grills

The chicken meat was beautifully grilled where the outer skin had a nice charred taste and the meat inside was still moist and tasty. Depending on your order, they will have a special sauce glaze over their meat.

With my colleague, we both ordered a whole chicken and 4 sides:
3 Beans Salad - tangy dressing over 3 types of beans, the red kidney beans, chickpeas and yellow beans. I also like the slices of onions and capsicum thrown in.

Coleslaw - rich and creamy and slightly tangy, the vegetables used were also fresh.

Grilled Vegetables - sliced vegetables that had that nicely grilled taste. A great side dish that is light and tasty.

Potato Wedges - nicely fried. 😭

Service, while friendly, is a tad slow. The food also takes a while to arrive so may not good to eat here if you're in a rush.

Good OK Nov 20, 2016

Came here for a quick lunch and only tried 4 items.

Glutinous Sticky Rice with Chicken
Nice and tasty but the portion is a tad small for the price tag I thought.

Baked BBQ Pork Buns
Easily the star of the meal. Super wet and yummy fillings inside soft buns with crusty outer layer.

Wasabi Salad Prawn
Somehow the end product doesn't match my mental picture of dish. So it's essentially deep fried dumplings with juicy prawns stuffed inside. Outside they added a layer of wasabi Mayo sauce. The wasabi is not spicy at all, this dish was slightly underwhelming for me.

Spicy Prawn Paste Char Siew Noodle
I can't make out the Prawn Paste taste but the noodle is well fried with the appropriate wok-Hei. This is not to say this was bad. Not bad, a decent (small) plate of fried noodle.

Will return to try the other more dim-sum-y items the next time.

Excellent for Month of June OK Jun 10, 2016

Categories : American | Brunch

Brought the kids here for a visit to the ACM and decided to have lunch here.

I ordered their Sambal Prawn in Tomato Sauce Pasta. The serving size is reasonable and it came with 5 prawns. It's not cheap with a price tag of $25 tho. It's spicy with enough kick but a tad salty, perhaps the Sambal gave it the salty overdrive.

During this June Hols, kids eat for free with every paying adult meal. That is a good deal!!!

I guess I won't come to eat here purposely but with the kids deal, it is not a bad place at all to Makan!

Expensive Average Makan OK Jun 09, 2016

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Food Court

Came to explore Gardens by the Bay and decided to have lunch here.

Read online that the Hokkien Mee is nice here, so we ordered that and other items.

Hokkien Noodle - quite a big portion of noodles on a piece of banana leaf. The taste is slightly better than average. The Chilli that they gave with the noodles is really not worth any mention.

Chicken Rice - the meat was nice but not many pieces in total. The rice had a lot of ginger cooked in it and my girl didn't really appreciate it.

Signature Nasi Lemak - flavourful rice cooked in coconut and the accompanying fried chicken leg was well-seasoned and fried. Chilli is not bad for this dish. Flavour but no bite.

Curry Chicken with Steamed Bread - 4 square slices of traditional bread in a steamer with a bowl of chicken curry. The bread is ordinary and a bit mushy but served in a drama manner only. Heh. Average tasting and not spicy enough.

Not likely to come here for more as the food here was expensive and not good enough to worth the buck.
