My kids loved it here Smile May 29, 2014

Needed to buy something from Daiso and dunno where to go for food... We happened to park at Nando's level so in we went.
Kid's Set Meal - I must commend their efforts to have a engaging children's menu where the little ones can exercise some choice over their set meal. So my girls got busy trying to make up their own meal.
Mushroom Chicken Soup - the soup is very flavourful as it not only has the essence of mushrooms but also the extra boost of chicken soup. My girls were fighting to drink it!
Naan with Hummus - hubby likes this. I'm not a fan.
Grilled Quarter Chicken - with was well-marinated and good to be eaten without extra sauce. I had mine with Merttertainern Rice and Coleslaw. Both sides were pretty good.
We will definitely return again. smile

Germany in China? OK May 29, 2014

Interesting to find a rather authentic German sausage stall right smack in the outskirts of Chinatown.
I had their sausage with cheese and I love it! Though I must say that the price is quite steep for the sausages. I also had the soup which I would say 'nevermind the soup' the next time.

No Wombats served here! OK May 29, 2014

Bought some vouchers for this place as I have been meaning to check out the food here anyway.

So a big group of us ordered:

Mushroom Soup - Nice and creamy with taste to match. Good! Daughter drank her own bowl, her sister's soup and half of my help's one as well! You say leh? Good or not?

Range Wings - I think this is their version of Buffalo's Wings? The sauce coating the wings is slightly tangy but not spicy. Not very good, can skip...

Wedges - Nicely done and enjoyed by all. Can't really go wrong with wedges yah?

Seafood Pasta - Not too bad. A little too sweet for my preference. Very cafe standard so I can't really complain.

Meatball Linguine - the sauce is the same as the Seafood Pasta so still a little too sweet for me. The meatballs are nice tho, homemade so that's a plus point there!

White Wine Fish - this is interesting. Fish wrapped in foil and baked in wine, I guess. The result is soft fish and tasty broth. No hint of wine taste so maybe very little wine used? It's nice.

Aglio Olio with Mushroom - daughter wanted pasta and she commented that it was nice. Good for her!

Overall, I found that the food is very decent cafe standard. Not a bad place to dine if in the area. I personally won't go out of the way to come eat here though.

Ramen Galore Smile May 29, 2014

The good thing about Ramen Champion is that there is ramen galore to choose from, the bad thing about it is that there is too many choices. I know, I have first world problems.

As I have no idea who to order my ramen from, I tried to order one from each stall to taste and see. It helped that I have my family along to con them into eating ramen from the different stalls.

King Ramen from Butaou - hubby ate this and he liked it enough. The rich soup is tasty and full bodied. I tried it and it was nice...just nor sure if it's my best tasting.

Spicy Ramen from Tonkotsu Itto - I like spicy anything so this ramen already win a few more point by being spicy. The soup is rich and tasty too.

Ramen from Tonkotsu Itto - daughter ate this and she really liked it. I tasted and can understand why. Same rich and tasty soup goodness here.

Garlicky Spicy Ramen from Miyamoto - after tasting all the ramens ordered, I decided I liked this the most as I like garlic, and spice and the generous dose of bean sprouts they throw inside with the ramen. I realised that I needed the bean sprouts to compliment the taste of the ramen, so that it won't be too ger-lat too soon.
Nice place to grab a pre-movie meal, easy and fuss-free and tasty. You probably need to come with a group and order 1 ramen from each stall to eat at the same time to figure out what is your favourite ramen!! Good luck!

High Class Street Food Smile May 29, 2014
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Malaysian | Café | Halal

Here with colleagues and I ordered:
1) Fried Rice with Fried Chicken Drumstick - the rice is flavourful and a good portion too. The drumstick was nicely deep-fried and can taste the spice that coats the skin. Very yummy indeed.

2) Longan Milk Honey - interesting blend of flavours.

Colleagues also recommends the following:
- Chicken with Horfun
- Assam Laksa, not really sour but spicy
- Fried Horfun
Service is prompt and attentive. One con is the powerful aircon makes the food gets cold really fast! Eat fast!!
It's high class street food but my rice and drinks are nice!
