Love Their Burgers Smile Nov 15, 2014

With no kids in tow for the night, we decided to venture to this joint with limited parking around.

We started with a Corn Chips with Queso Chilli and damn it was goooood! Glad my hubby insisted on ordering it!

He had the Bleu Cheese Peppercorn burger and I stole a bite. I would say it's more peppercorn than Bleu cheese taste there. Not a bad tasting burger at all.

I had the Swiss Shroom Burger and it's good! Lots of oozing cheese and chunky mushrooms juicy patty!

Had the vanilla milkshake and it's definitely made of good stuff! Very yummy!!!

Definitely scratched our burger itch!! Will be back again when our itch acts up again!! ✌️

Wow! Now i know and understand what the queue is about. Luckily for me, I was the third in queue and almost wanted to leave the queue. But I stuck on as I also dunno what else to eat. What a great choice I made to stay in the queue.

I ordered kway chap with:
• braised egg
• daupok
• pork belly slices
• fish cake
• preserved Vege

All this for $3.50!!!!

The braised pork belly slices is not funny kind of nice! Super flavourful! The braised sauce is good thus the Kway chap also shiok! My only complain is that the egg's outer layer is a little tough. Other than that, I had an awesome lunch!! 😊

Vegetarian Lunch Smile Jun 15, 2014
Categories : Indian | Vegetarian

Starters:
1) Papri Chaat - this is a cold dish with circular biscuit-like bits. Slightly sourish and very tasty.
2) Samosa Chaat - another not-so cold fish with fried samosa bits and chick peas. Also sourish and very tasty too
Mains:
3) Aloo Gobi - my all time favourite! They do theirs well here.
4) Spinach with Cottage Cheese - smooth blend of spinach with chunks of cottage cheese. Good flavour too!
5) Mushroom Curry (I forgot the name - this is very awesome! I couldn't stop eating it!!!
We ordered Naans to go with the curries and their Naans are soft and fluffy. The butter and garlic ones are even more wonderful with the extra flavours on the top! Good!!!
It's not cheap but a good place to bring vegetarians.

Awesome Zichar Smile Jun 15, 2014

Stumbled to this area and read that the reviews of this Zichar is pretty good. Tried a few dishes here and agreed with the good reviews:
1) Fish Head Steamboat - something about soup cooked over high heat (read wok-Hei) just rocks my world. The fish chunks are generous in amount and the flavour is just awesome. Plus the soup comes with free refill, that totally wins Liao!
2) Salted Egg Squid - deep fried sotong rings with salted egg batter. Win already. Mum complained cannot see the sotong but I just like the batter. Haha
3) Herbal Wrapped-Chicken - nice and tender. Hubby likes the sauce with accompanied with rice.
I find the rest of their dishes also very good, like their Broccoli with Garlic and Chye Boh Omelette. We are so in love with this Zichar place now.

Hidden Find Smile Jun 15, 2014

Came here with parents and small kids in tow so I reserved a table beforehand to avoid disappointment.
For starters, we ordered the Jalapeno Mac & Cheese to share. You can definitely taste the spice of the mac & cheese and it's pretty good. Hubby preferred if they had used Cheddar instead.
For the mains, we ordered:
Southern Fried Chicken - I must say that the seasoning can be pretty spicy for the kids (mine complained a bit) but for us hardy adults, no problem. The skin is fried till crispy and the meat is still quite juicy. It's served with their homemade mash, which is very good, and a side of corn and salad. The dressing of the corn and salad doesn't rock my boat because I don't fancy sour stuff much and I assume others may like that.
BBQ Chicken - Generous half spring chicken that is marinated with their BBQ sauce. No bad tasting and meat is juicy too. Served with shoe-string fries and corn and salad.
Baby Back Ribs - the same BBQ sauce is used to season the ribs. It's nice and meat falls off the bone when eaten. It's good, better than some more established makan places.
Teddy's 100% US Beef Burger - a tall burger with their homemade pattie and bacon strips as the main stars. It's pretty good.
Penne Bolognese - daughter wanted pasta and we tried their bolognese which was very good. Again, you can tell they made their own sauce and that's quite a bit of pride there.
Milkshake Salted Caramel - It's not super sweet so that's great! I can't really taste the salted caramel so that's a small shame.
I like how they attempt to make their food fresh by really making the marinade and sauce from scratch. We'll would be back again to check out the rest of their menu and drink a little this time.
