coffee break! Smile Mar 23, 2011
Categories : American

had my coffee break there usually, since i work around campus.
my recommendation will be the hot chocolate- its not like those milo drinks that other coffee places sell and claim to be 'hot choc'; this outlet really uses chocolate and every mouthful is full of the chocolate-ly aroma nad taste; my little piece of heaven. =)

ramen time! Smile Mar 23, 2011

tried this ramen a few weeks ago after my fren recommended to me; the queue was horribly long when i came with a fren on a saturday evening! :x
after a half hour wait, we finally got our seats; ordered the signature ramen for both of us; all i could say was the wait was worth it!! the ramen and the broth really put the others that i have eaten before to shame, seriously.
no words can describe the aroma, the taste of it. u gotta try it! =)

after dinner drinks OK Mar 23, 2011

came here with colleagues after working nearby; love the view of the merlion (b4 it was boarded up) and the marina bay view.
was pretty crowded when we arrived close to midnight; but got a table quickly. the strawberry margarita i ordered wasn't too good- it didnt have enough alcohol in it and tasted more like a fruit punch than an alcoholic beverage.
crowd was pretty lively and fun too, so i guess that makes up for its not-so-good bevergaes.

dinner! OK Mar 23, 2011

being in the neighbourhood after the cafe cartel lunch earlier on; i didnt want to travel too far for dinner. the thai express outlet was just near the cafe cartel outlet, so i settled dinner there.
the branch was pretty similar to the outlet at holland village- al fresco seating, very beach-side feel. ordered the pina colada and the phad thai; wasn't too bad, but the pina colada could have been more alcoholic-based, i guess.
service was okok, could have improved in terms of attentiveness.

saturday friends outing Smile Mar 23, 2011

decided on the springvale outlet for a friends gathering after the town's outlets proved to be too crowded.
service at the east coast outlet was significantly better than the outlet in plaza singapura; they cleared our dishes promptly and provided us with side plates, seeing that we were sharing dishes. the free flow of bread was served warm, although there were lots of people wanting to grab it though. :x

Recommended Dish(es):  prok ribs; hazelnut chocolate cake
