Hot Tomato  Cry Oct 25, 2011

Categories : Steaks and Grills

I went here with my wife for dinner
Had Steak, Prawn ‘N’ Aglio Olio set.
Mushroom Soup was not bad
The steak supposed to be one of their ‘must try’s.
Was quite looking forward to eating it because the picture they put up at the front of the shop looked so appetizing. But what came looked rather different from the pics.
Instead of one big prawn, they replaced it with 2 small ones. Plus the prawns weren’t exactly very fresh
Sirlon cut for the steak. Not exactly an expensive cut but reasonable enough for the price of the dish. Asked for medium done for the steak, but it turned out a little too cooked & tough
Overall not really impressed with the food

R Burger Cry Oct 25, 2011

Categories : Japanese | Stall / Kiosk

Having read good reviews and seen the long queue when we were last here, we headed for the stall while it was still quiet, and ordered the R Burger – a beef patty with shiso leaf, pickled daikon in a steamed mantou bun.
I really didn’t like the flavour combination
essentially the shiso leaf overwhelmed all the other flavours, with the daikon second and the beef patty a distant last place. I didn’t care much for the mantou bun either. I know it’s meant to be a light and fluffy alternative to a regular burger bun, but I found it a bit sticky and unpleasant

I was at Takashimaya last week and saw Pop Doh Donut House
The concept of this donut house look cute
Ther're many flavours available and different types of icings and fillings
I bought Strawberry,Cream Custard for my wife
though it was not too sweet but they’re too dry
Not really recommended and is abit pricy

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Food Court | Roasted Meat

Came across this stall at nex shopping mall after shopping for grocery . This stall at food republic selling lots of variety of roasted meat, I order their roasted duck rice and added char siew. Rice were mix with sauce which tasted just nice and roasted duck was so little.& it just so so
It was a little pricy as well which I think their roasted duck rice doesn't worth this much!

bak gua Cry Oct 25, 2011
Categories : BBQ

My wife was a "bak gua" Lover and I bought 200 grams of "bak gua" for my wife as her tibits at night. I tried a piece and felt a little digusted as the "bak gua" was oily and was not the same tender feel that I had tried from other outlet. I look at the rest of the "bak gua" in the packaging and I realise there are a few look over cooked (chao da) . What a disappointment for my wife favourite tibits ,eventually I had to promise her to get another packet for her the next day from another outlet sad
