First visit to Imperial OK Feb 08, 2012

As stated in the name of the restaurant, this place specialises in La Mian and Xiao Long Bao. I should have ordered the La Mian instead of the Shanghai fried rice which is a disappointment. What I get looks totally different as how it looks like in the menu. If you compare the picture 2 with the one in the menu, you will notice that there is no prawn in the Shanghai fried rice which is served to me. huffy

Nevertheless, the rest of the dishes such as the salted egg yolk prawn, the beijing dumpling, xiao long bao and the mango puddling taste quite good.

In short, you can try of the food except for the fried rice. tongue

Din Tai Fung OK Jan 17, 2012

Can't imagine that a plate of plain stir fried vegetable can cost more than a bowl of noodles. Though the Dou Miao from Din Tai Fung tastes quite good, I find that it is over-priced. Personally I don't think I will pay $11.80++ again for this plate of vegetable, especially after I noted that it actually cost more than my main course which is the Cha Jiang Mian. The Cha Jiang Mian tastes kinda average / typical. If you are craving for flavorful noodles, you may like to order it.

Wa Steamboat  OK Dec 29, 2011

Ordered both the sukiyaki and the clear soup but I only drink the sukiyaki soup as the clear soup simply tastes terrible! In fact, the clear soup tastes like salted water. sad Though the food servings are pretty huge, I find that the vegetables are not fresh. Quite disappointed to find that vegetables which have turned yellow are being served. Nevertheless, the pork is kinda fresh and is well sliced to be cooked in soup.

Personally, I don't think I have a good experience in the restaurant and hence, I will not recommend one to dine at this place.

Red Mango Yogurt OK Dec 27, 2011

Had this yogurt sundae (as shown in picture) in which I can choose 2 dried topping and 1 fruit to go with my yogurt for $5. Though this seems kinda value for money, I prefer to have the yogurt without any topping as I feel that it tastes very good on its own. In fact, I feel that servings of the toppings are too generous, to the extend I find that I seem to be eating the toppings instead of the yogurt.

Dessert @ Bedok Point OK Dec 22, 2011

This is a typical HK style cafe that sells simple main courses such as dumpling noodles and variety of desserts. Tried this warm Ginger Milk pudding ($3.30) which I think tastes kinda similar to all those being served in the typical HK style desserts eateries in Singapore - nothing special. Hence, I think most people who visited this place is merely out of convenience. tongue
