My favourite Tokyo Chicken Stew Smile Oct 15, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Restaurant | Vegetarian | Chinese Soup | Western Soup | Halal

This is one of my favourite selection at The Soup Spoon as it is tasty and low in calorie (less than 200 calories). Hence, I will recommend to those who are on diet. smile As it is clear soup, one can easily finished it (usually I will not be able finished the mushroom or pumpkin soup without sharing with someone else as I find that these are too heavy).

As it is served with a fresh wholemeal bread, I will not recommend one to top up additional $4.80 for the complete meal (which is served with additional sandwich or wrap and ice tea or muffin or apple), else one will feel too full.

Read about the afternoon indulgence promotion at Lawrys and hence, decide to organise a meet-up session with my pals at Lawrys. For those who are not aware, Lawry has an afternoon indulgence menu from 2.30pm to 5.30pm which is worth checking out as you can select one savoury item and one sweet item at the price of only $15 (which also include a coffee or tea).

My choice for the savoury item: Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese in Puff.
In general, the puff tasted good. However, I can't taste the smoked salmon so was slightly disappointed. Will choose another item for my next visit.

My choice for the sweet item: Raspberry Macaroon with Haagen Dazs Ice-Cream
This is definitely a good choice. The macaroon is simply fantastic! Needless to say, the Haagen Dazs Ice-Cream is yummy too.

HK Dessert Smile Feb 08, 2012

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Chinese | Desserts and Cakes

Originated from HK, Honeymoon Desserts serves a huge variety of desserts at reasonable prices (refer to picture of menu). I love the mango sago pomelo with beancurd which I will strongly recommend one to try it! Though there is also one (mango sago pomelo) which is without beancurd (only slightly cheaper) but I think that one should try the one with beancurd as this is something which one will not be able to get from most other chinese dessert place.

If you prefer hot dessert, you can choose the sesame and almond paste (which is available in both hot and cold). Also very yummy!

Vinegar Fish & Chips...Yumz! Smile Oct 15, 2011

Categories : English

Don't judge the fish and chips by its looks. It may not look very appealing but it is definitely very delicious! If you are a fish and chips lover and like the taste of vinegar, this is something which you must try. With the fish and chips being soaked in vinegar, they seem to be less oily (at least it is vinegar and not oil oozed out when I bite the fish).

Personally, I find that the serving is quite huge (10 pieces of fish) and value for money ($4.80) and I recommend this for sharing.

Buffet @ Rajah Inn...Yum! Smile Sep 27, 2011

Categories : Fusion | Restaurant

This is one of the best buffet which I had tried in terms of food and price.

For a mere $19.80 (for weekday dinner), I get to enjoy a personal steamboat buffet, a variety of cooked food and chocolate fondue (refer to the picture of the menu).

If you like soup which is hot and spicy, you may like to try the tom yam soup base (which was what I have chosen).

As for the cooked food, do remember to order the tauhu telok!
