This is one of the worst fast food joint that I have visited. Not only were the staff slow in serving their customers, I actually witnessed a staff looking in the mirror and squeezing in pimple in the resturant (which I think is not right a staff to do that in the restaurant). Personally, I feel that food standard has deteriorated over the years. The fish (as shown in picture) was dry and I felt that crust was thicker than the fish meat. The fries and prawn were not a tasty as before. Though the meal is less than $8, I feel that it is not value for money and I will not recommend anyone to visit this place.

Never did expect that the service at Swensen can be so lousy.

Despite the fact that the restaurant was not busy (there were still empty seats though it was dinner time), the staff ignored/forgot my request for tartar sauce despite 2 reminders. When I informed that the manager that of this service lapse, she couldn't be bothered to acknowledge my request/feedback (and of course, did not apologised!). She simply just walked away and came back 3 minutes later with the tartar sauce without saying a single word. Really disappointing!

Standard of the food is also not impressive. I tried the oriental lemongrass fish ($16.50) which I will not recommend anyone as I think that taste of the lemongrass sauce is not something most people will like (as it tasted a bit strange).

To sum up, ice-cream is probably the only thing which you can order in Swensen, provided you don't mind the poor service.

Lousy steamboat but yummy cooked food - this is how I would describe my dining experience at this restaurant. The reason why I will feel that the steamboat is lousy os because the soup base is kinda bland and there is limited variety of raw food for steamboat. Most of the raw food is cheap food such as tofu, egg, vegetable, etc. There is meat but the meat doesn't look fresh.

Luckily, the cooked food tastes quite good and hence, I don't mind visiting this place again. It serves my favourite tempura prawn and fried shisamo.

Wanted to order the crispy chicken but it was sold out. Hence, ordered the crispy fish instead. Though it is quite tasty and I assume is freshly cooked (given that it is hot when served), I feel that is not value for money as there are only a few pieces of fish (the vinegar fish and chips from British Chippy is definitely better and cheaper!). Personally, I also think that it has a sourish smell, provably due to the flavouring added to the fish, and hence, not everyone will like it.

Ordered the Yoshinoya Xmas set which consist of a beef and vegetable rice bowl, fries and soft drink. This set meal costs $7.90. Generally, the food tastes average. Personally, I feel that the chef can add more sauce to the rice bowl as it is kinda dry and can be more generous with the serving of the beef. As for the fries, it is cold when served and hence, it doesn't taste good, especially when no sauce is served with it.
