Ramen Champion - Bario Smile Dec 22, 2011

Bario Ramen (regular size as shown in picture) - $13
The serving is huge! Despite the fact that it is very tasty, I managed to finish only 3/4 of the serving. Hence, for those who don't eat a lot, you may like to order the half serving ($7). Simply love the soup as it is thick (seems as if it has been boiled for very long) and has a very strong garlic taste. However, I find that the meat has lots of fats, not recommended for those who wanna go on a diet!

Astons - the popular restaurant Smile Nov 30, 2011

This restaurant is so popular that you will definitely need to queue if you visit the restaurant during either lunch or dinner time.

Main reason for the popularity: Delicious food that is value for money.

One can get a meat (either fish or chicken) with 2 side dishes at less than $10. Furthermore, this restaurant does not imposed a 10% service charges.

Despite the restaurant being very crowded, the food was served quite promptly (approximately 5-10mins wait).

Hence, I would recommend one to visit this restaurant.

The set lunch (menu as shown in picture) is kinda value for money - not only is the serving kinds generous, the food is also delicious. For those with sweet tooth, you can also order the dessert after having your main course at a special rate of $4.80 (but limited to desserts which are below $6.80).

However, I feel that the service of the restaurant needs to be improved. I actually wanted to have the fish set but was told that it is not available. And just half an hour later, I saw diners beside me (who came later) having the fish set.sad

Marmalade Pantry Smile Nov 14, 2011

This is a place which I would recommend one to go for high tea as it serves nice freshly brewed coffee (beautifiul design as shown in picture) and delicious cake which is super huge and hence, value for money. I think most people may not be able to finish the entire piece of cake given that it is kinda rich and favourful and thus, I would recomend it for sharing.

Something which I think may not be pleasing for diners is that this place doesn't serve plain water.

Though prices of the most dishes of this restaurant are slightly high, the food never fail to taste good.

I recommend one to try the sing chow bee hoon (as shown in pic) as I think this is one of best bee hoon which I have tried. Unlike the sing chow bee hoon which is served in most Chinese restaurant, this is not oily and consists of lots of nuts.

The bun with stir fried meat (as shown in pic), $3.90 each, is also something which I think is kinda popular. The bun is crispy and the stir fried meat tastes good.
