I love Riverwalk Tandoor for their decor, cosy ambiance, authentic indian food that does not stnge on variety as well, excellent service as well as resonable prices! We opted for the buffet dinner which was seriously worth every cent!

It consisted of a decent number of vegetarian as well as non vegetarian items. There was also a variety of sauces as well as appetizers. Titles of dishes were clearly stated below each pot. The pots also kept the food pipping hot. The restaurant was clean and staff were very prompt with both water re-fill's as well as clearing of plates.

The biryani rice was aromatic yet not overbearing. One of my favorites dishes are the palak paneer which is basically spinach with indian cheese. The spinach is well cooked which would make spinach-hater's give this dish another chance. The butter naan's were also very good! soft and fluffy. Gulab Jamun which is a signature dessert here is definitely a must try! It definitely left me craving for more. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience and definitely worth the price for a buffet!

I really like this outlet at the airport as it appears to have more variety then the rest. It is also less crowded, has frequent promotions and have very attentive and friendly staff to your service. I decided to get my fix of Toblerone's from here. I decided to get the mixed pack white contained dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate. These are great for parties and for sharing among loved ones.
Love their chocs!

The title of my entry says it all! Lao Ban Soya Bean curd, where have you been all my life? I've been scouting near and far for something as good as this. Wanted to start the year off by eating healthy and to find something that is not just nutritious but yummy too is indeed a marvel. My sister first discovered it after a few of her friends were raving about it. She then bought me a tub. Expecting pure bluntness, I took a small spoonful and my taste buds were tantalized.

The bean curd was so soft and smooth. It almost tasted like you could "drink" it since each bite practically melts in your mouth. This is one place you can expect to find a queue just for bean curd and also be prepared to ignite your senses.

Portion wise, probably slightly smaller than places like Mr Bean and Jollibean among others. However, at $1.50, I still think its worth every bowl. The bowl, by the way is microwaveable. Lao Ban Soya Bean curd leaves it up to the individual to have it warm (with its microwaveable bowls!) or chilled (the way its served).

Staff are very friendly as well and especially in the evenings, they are prepared with bean curds in bags so as to make your queue shorter! very efficient smile

I am looking forward to trying their soya bean milk next!!!!!!!!

I stay in the north but I would not mind making a trip down just for this!!

A little advice? Please buy more than one bowl! It's that good smile

sweet treats Smile Apr 11, 2012

Boyfriend and I decided to stop by for lunch at High Society. The restaurant/cafe certainly lives up to its name as food here was indeed pricy. However, I love the fluorescent lighting that gives the place such a cosy-homely feel. One side of the seating was sofa like which was indeed a bonus.

My boyfriend had the burger with fries which came as a pretty big portion hence we decided to share. The fries were crisp yet not overly oily or salty - just the way I like it

We decided to get cupcakes for dessert! I went with Red Velvet which has always been one of my fav's! The cake contained raisins and also nuts I suppose (as it was slightly crunchy). The top of the cake was swirled with yummy cream cheese. An excellent combination. 9/10

The chocolate cupcake was another delight. The cake was moist and had bits of chocolate in them. It was topped off with a generous amount of rich swirled chocolate. Unlike many cafe's which top off cupcakes with more sugar then real frosting; High Society definitely stands out. 7/10

The boyfriend was sweet enough to take away a whole box of macaroons for me! lol

Chocolate macaroons 9/10: It was very light and perfect after heavy dinners. The chocolate was not too overpowering.

Vanilla macaroons 9/10: This was another favorite. The vanilla is so creamy and it gives one a melt-in-the-mouth feel.

Tiramisu macaroons 7/10: Had a unique distinctive taste. However I found it a little too sweet for my liking.

I have heard so many fine reviews about High Society and I just had to pay them a visit! First off, the place looks so classy! especially with the good music at the background! It's a perfect place to celebrate birthdays or to bring that special someone out for tea smile They would love being treated like a prince/princess here for those couple of hours. Not only is food served here (quite pricy I must add) but they have a good range of desserts! From cupcakes to slices of cake and even macaroons!

I could not resist getting a box of macaroons which were priced at $2 each if i got 7pcs. They did not taste overly sweet but were highly addictive! the raspberry one in pink was def one of my favs!! the chocolate and vanilla ones were really good too!
