This Chinese restaurant serves an extensive menu of delicious foods which I think is a good place for celebration and gathering. Do come down and indulge in a range of delectable Chinese cuisine at Wan He Lou. One thing to note is that this Chinese restaurant do not charge any GST or Service Charge!

Pan Fried Garoupa Fish with Pomelo Sauce (Small - $19.90, Medium - $32.90)
The flesh is soft and tender together with the pomelo sauce, it brings out a fruity taste which I personally like it alot.

Stir Fried French Bean with Dried Shrimp
This crunchy French Beans is nice but a little salty for me, I would suggest to complement with the steamed rice.

Crispy Lotus with Salted egg
Thinly sliced additive snacks include the Crispy Lotus Root with Salted egg. Once you start to consume it - you can't simply stop at one. Consume it immediately before it totally lose its crunch.

Soya Bean Curd w Crab Meat in Yellow Gravy
By visually looking at the smooth texture of the soya bean curd with its gentle wobble as it placed on the table, I can't wait to try the dish. The silkiness of the soya bean curd melts in the mouth and slides down the throat. In addition, the yellow gravy has a pleasant savoury flavour that pleases any palate.

San Zan Sauce Prawn
Over at Wan He Lou, you can get to choose the cooking method for the prawns such as Mandrain Orange Thousand Island sauce, Butter cereal, Pan Fried Shrimps, Superior Soy Sauce, Drunken Style, Salt and Pepper. Not forgetting, San Zan Sauce that was being recommended for us. A sweet and slight plum flavour with a tinge of spicy taste.

Lobster Porridge
2 pax (approximately) from $29.90
The lobster meat itself was firm to bite and the natural goodness of the lobster makes the soup and porridge extremely tasty and nice.

Du Du Dessert @ Chinatown OK Jun 24, 2013

Full review and pictures at: http://rygohxx.blogspot.sg/2013/06/du-du-dessert-chinatown.html

Nestled in a shop house on 20 Trengganu Street, #01-01G, 嘟嘟甜品 Dudu Dessert is quite a small dessert shop that serves an extensive desserts. However, a pity that some of the desserts that we wanted are unavailable. The desserts are priced reasonable around $5 and they even serves fruit juices and pancakes as well.

Mango Mini Mochi
Heard from the boss that Mango Mini Mochi is one of the top seller dessert in their shop and indeed it's my favourite too. The slightly crunchy mango ice blended together with the chewy mini glutinous rice balls as well as cubes of mango made up a very pleasant dessert. Oh yah! Not forgetting the ice cream plays a part as well.

Durian

Durian - my favourite. If you were to give me everything with it, I will definitely smile happily to you. Plus point for the shaved ice is the additional of the vanilla which makes it tastes so differently.

Mango Pancake
Mango Pancake turned out to be quite disappointing as the mango skin was a little too thick for my preference. However, the only noteworthy component would be the sweet mango. It would be perfect if the middle portion of the cream to be replaced with vanilla ice cream.

Swatow Dim Sum Buffet OK Jun 24, 2013

Full review and pictures at : http://rygohxx.blogspot.sg/2013/06/swatow-dim-sum-buffet.html

Few months back, together with my friends and boyf we went to 'Swatow Dim Sum Buffet' at Toa Payoh to satisfy our craving. As the buffet will be starting at 3pm, I decided to had a piece of biscuit first before my stomach keep growling. We reached on the dot and waited for the dishes to be served, as this is not like the normal buffet style where you can go around and take the foods you wanted. The dim sum will be on the push cart where the staffs will go around the tables asking the customers the portion they wanted : D

Foodwise, I think it's not too bad and the custard buns are a must try item on the menu! I love the texture a lot. Just the first bite, you will surely experience an explosion of custard.

Creamy and smooth, the filling was a delectable balance of sweet and salty. Oh boy, how I wish i can go back and eat their custard buns again.

Full review and pictures at: http://rygohxx.blogspot.sg/2013/06/alaturka-restaurant-turkish-and.html

Alaturka Restaurant ensconced humbly at the Bussorah Street may sound foreign to most Singaporeans. It is a halal restaurant that serves authentic Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. The menu consists of a wide variety of authentic Turkish cuisine ranging from appertisers to main courses and desserts. As for their drinks, I would highly recommend their homemade lemonade - a great combination of sweet and sour taste. Refreshing!

Kunefe $9
If you haven't tried the Kunefe from Alaturka restaurant on Bussorah Street, you are totally in for a treat. Kunefe - Fine vermicelli-like pastry dessert served warm and baked with cheese and sugar syrup. The aroma alone just simply makes my mouth water, as I indulge and try this luscious dessert, I know that my love affair with this delicious treat will be forever! No kidding.

Imam Bayildi $15
Ever seen such a huge eggplant? Believe or not, this is my first time. I personally find this dish pretty interesting and decided to 'Google' it and indeed there's a rich story behind this dish. Imam Bayildi refers to "The imam fainted". It is said that an imam (Muslim priest) find the dish so special that after tasted it, he actually fainted. A story that is repeatedly spread across Turkey.

Dine in at Kazokutei (Junction 8) Smile Mar 29, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Noodles

An advance birthday celebration for my brother @ Kazokutei (Junction 8) with le family. There are quite a varieties of foods to choose from. However, I feel that their arrangement of the food items in the menu is slightly messy which makes me feel slightly perplexed :/ Nevertheless, I would like to comment their service. POLITE AND FRIENDLY! Basically, this restaurant serves different Japanese cuisine but their specialty is UDON.

Here's my Prawn omu. This dish includes fries, egg, rice, soup and 2 tempura. You may be wondering where is the rice?
It is actually hidden inside the egg ; nice, sticky, tomato rice with chicken. For me, the soup is slightly salty but overall I do like this dish [:

Cost: S$8.90 ($2 off for lunch set**)

Next up, Sushi + Udon + Chicken (G2) . According from my mother, their soup along with the udon taste awesome. Sushi was not bad but the orangey colour sushi that I tried was alittle hard though :C

Cost: S$14.90

This set was ordered by my father and brother (: Similar set from my dish just that there is an addition of pork cutlet.

Cost: S$ 25.80 for 2

Sf Kim Nabe (N4) to be shared among the 4 of us. There are clams, scallops, kimchi and udon. I personally like the taste of this soup - sour and a tinge of spicyness.

Cost: S$13.90
