Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Porridge/Congee | Dim Sum

I'm enjoying my Iced Milk tea at this nice ambient restaurant called Wan Chai Hong Kong Kitchen and below are the foods that my boyf and me had tried on that day lol

Grass Jelly Milk Tea @ $3.50 and Milk Tea for me @ $3
And was quite surprised that it came with Vanilla Ice Cream lol

Soupy Soupy for me. I LOVE their Wanton, it was filled with prawn, mushrooms and some vegetables. YUMMY !
Price: $5.50

This Mushroom Sauce Baked Rice came together with a bowl of 'Winter Melon' Soup shown below lol However, I feel that in curry sauce will be a better choice.

SUSHI TEI Smile Mar 28, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi | Kids-Friendly

Sushi Tei is a Japanese Restaurant that offered wide varieties of sushi, noodles, rice, salads which will definitely arouse your taste buds. Besides having those authentic Japanese cuisine, they also offer creative dishes which illustrate the emerging influence of Asia on modern Japanese cuisine.

The friendly greeting from the staffs and cozy environment are the ones that left me with great impression once I stepped into the restaurant. The food that I love the most there was Kani Mental Mayo Roll. Scroll down and I will tell you why.

First dish: Sashimi Salad ($9)

This generous serving of sashimi Salad comes with 3 different dressings and sesame dressing is my preferred choice as I feel that it has a very unique taste. However, as I dislike eating raw fish, the only choice that I left with was the greens lol

Sashimi Moriwase - Asama ($30)

In my mind I thought another 'SASHIMI' again? HAHAHA.
However, this dish received many great compliments from the other bloggers who loves sashimi (especially yellowtail). Therefore, I suggest that you should order it if you're one of the great fan of it lol

Kani Mentai Mayo Roll ($8) **My favourite !!

This is a deep-fried crab meat sushi with mentai mayo slathered in generous portion as well as fried carrots sprinkled on top. The savoury taste of the crab meat and mayo that lingers in my mouth together with the slightly crispy carrots are the ones that makes me feel like eating it again. *winks.

Asari Butter ($14)

If you know me, I'm the sort of person who will avoid eating raw fish, clams, oysters and etc due to a bad experience I had. However, I decided to give it a try and bravely put it into my mouth and it turns out to be quite acceptable. No bloody/ awful/ strong taste. I guessed it must be the great chef who sauteed it (fresh Asari Clams) with butter and soya sauce to overcome it.

Hanaski Ika Tempura ($6)

It's definitely a great snacks that I can munch on it.
BEWARE, It's quite addictive lol

Homemade Meat Gyoza ($6)

Golden brown Homemade Pork and Chicken Dumplings!

Kaisen Chankonabe ($28)

Traditional sumo hot pot with seafood and assorted vegetable (yellow- tail, scallop, salmon, prawn)
Choice of Soup base: Shoyu, Miso , Spicy

Joe's Kitchen - Thai Cuisine Smile Mar 25, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Thai

Thai Cuisine has always been one of my favourite because I enjoy eating spicy foods.Be it 'Tom Yum Ban Mian', 'Chilli Crab', ' Tom Yum Fried Rice'.

Enough of saying and now I'm going to make you drool.

First up, Mango Salad to kick-start our appetite and it was refreshing good : D
Price: $6.50

Thai Prawn Cake (per piece) - $2.30

Who don't love fried food?
I'm sure most of us do yay...
This prawn cakes has a very nice springy consistency with a very
well-mixed marination that result in nice fragrant when I eat it.

Tom Yum Soup
Price: $4 / $8.90 / $12.90

To me, it was a little spicy and I feel that perhaps they should allow customers
to choose the level of spiciness. And of course with its fiery,non-oily and slightly sour soup broth, your appetite will definitely be increased

Broccoli with Oyster Sauce
Price: $8/$12

Greens for anyone?
The vegetables are nicely stir- fry but I don't usually recommend people to order vegetables as I personally feel that they should try out something different which is more worth

Steamed Fish Bass
Price: $18

I always love fish that is being steamed because it will let you
savour the freshness and natural sweetness of it than deep-frying.
And, I can say this fish is fresh because there is no strong fishy smell.
I love the gravy too.
AWESOME !

Claypot Crab with Vermicelli

Price: $18 (per crab)

Out of all the dishes, I love this the best because I love eating Vermicelli.
Can you see the huge amount of Vermicelli (:
And of course not forgetting the female crab, the shell was quite soft which I can easily
cracked it using my own teeth.

To end off the dinner,
Tapioca with coconut milk ($4) for desserts.

LUNCH  Smile Aug 28, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

A lunch date at Watami Restaurant The total spending was $61 from the 6 satisfied dishes which include Konbu Dashi Nabe, Ishiyaki Bibimbap, Crispy Chicken Wing, Teppen Bou Gyoza and H/Choco Brownie lollol Both of us indeed have a huge appetite.

The steamboat that we have ordered is together with different seafood, beef, chicken, pork and vegetables and another set of pot is rice with some sauce together with cheese. I like their soup based which I find it to my liking - lightly sweet taste. However, out of all the 6 dishes that we had ordered, crispy chicken wing was quite a disappointment. The fried chicken was very lean and nothing special which you can see from the third picture. The dessert H/Choco Brownie was delicious, it comes with 3 small pieces of brownie, vanilla ice cream and chocolate fordue to be poured on them. We had a satisfied meal and great service that the service staff had provided us.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION  Smile Aug 28, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Steamboat/Hot Pot | Buffet | Kids-Friendly

A great meet-up with my secondary school friends after about 1 mth plus of not seeing each other. Celebration was held at punggol marina where we have a small buffet (steamboat + BBQ). There are different variety of foods that one's can choose from ranging from seafood, meat (fish, chicken, beef), cooked foods, dessert (ice cream, puffs n etc) and more. The price was only $25 per person inclusive of 10% discount by using POSB/DBS card. The only disadvantage is the lack of air-conditioned which you can perspired like hell when u are BBQing ~~ :/ Other than that, they also provide aluminium bowl to BBQ your foods like Salmon, Chicken so that it will not stick on it. There are also different sauces which you can BBQ with such as having Sambal Salmon ?

The recommended food that you must eat is the 'DURAIN PUFF'.

A smile to end the BBQ lol
