Jia Xiang Kuching Kolo Mee OK Aug 01, 2012

Went there with friends for lunch after hanging around. I ordered Jia Xiang Mian. The portion is small and it not really enough for me. First bite, the noodles is perfect, and not soggy. It chewing and spongy. This kolo mee also comes with a generous serving of sweet char siew, healthy vegetables and pork dumplings that is fully stuffed. The sauce is special, a bit sour and fragrant. Add some chilli sauce into your noodles to enhance the flavours. Personally, I more prefer the traditional wanton mee.

Went there with friend for breakfast. I ordered Set 5, it consist of Bo Luo Bao, Kopi O and 2 Half Boiled Eggs. I decided to order Vanilla Sugar Roll. The kopi o came in such a dainty small cup, the taste was just right, not overly bitter or sweet. Their eggs are huge and delicious. It boiled to perfection, not too cooked and not too raw. The yolk is ranny and tasty and the whites of the egg are not too transparent. The bread is good too. Its soft in texture and I can tasted the butter taste and really goes well with the bo luo bao. The vanilla sugar roll is good too but its not as good as Polar.

Went there with friend for breakfast. First time trying this Blueberry Melts, I found it too sweet for me. The bread was soft in texture and the sweetness was melted in bread. I don't really like the sauce because it is too sweet for me. The taste is cinnimon melts and really goes well with the bread but to me I don't really like it. If you don't really like the sauce then you can remove them and just eat the bread only.

Melon Lychee Ice

Melon Lychee Ice

Their tang shui varieties is not alot however those common ones you will find it there. Eg: almond hu, sesame hu, peanut hu, ginko barley, etc). These tang shui are served in a small pot (another oriential feel item as they have some chinese drawings on the pot itself). We ad the Melon Lychee Ice, it taste really good and so refreshing. It looks so tempting and nicely done. It have 2 different type of flavor, melon and lychee. First bite, it really good. The combination of the 2 flavor were really match, not too sweet or bland. The taste were thick and the ice were so smooth which makes it easy to consume. It was smooth that it would slide down the throat once it enters your mouth.

Went there with colleagues for dinner. I have ordered Unagi set, it consist tofu, salad and udon. When I received the food, it was so tempting but after that I was very disappointed having my first bite. I was expected the unagi will be fresh but it not really fresh. I quite like the gravy, it really goes well with the rice. The udon was not bad as well. The udon was thick, fat and chewy. The soup was quite nice too, not salty and to me it taste just right. I like the tofu. It had very soft texture and easy to pick up. The soft texture in your mouth that stayed there for a while and not melt before you have a chance to taste it. The salad was normal. Overall, the food was average
