Chicken Fried Rice Cry Dec 19, 2011
Categories : Vietnamese | Food Court | Chinese Soup

A few Saturday's ago, I had dinner from the Viet Kitchen stall at Kopitiam.
I was craving fried rice and hence, chose the Chicken Fried Rice which looked really good in the picture.

However when the food was presented to me, it was a far cry from the ones on the picture.
The presentation of the food wasn't very appealing and the food looked rather bland.
However I know better than to judge a book by it's cover cause sometimes the food can really surprise you (in a good way).
This didn't though sad

The fried rice was rather tasteless and the chicken was tough and dry, lacking flavour.
Definitely was disappointed as I expected so much better!

Chicken Hor Fun Cry Dec 19, 2011
Categories : Food Court

I've eaten at this stall a couple of times before and tried only their rice dishes.
This time however, I decided to try their Chicken Hor Fun instead.
Huge mistake!!

The Hor Fun was extremely bland and quite watery and I had to concentrate it with lots of green chilli as well as sambal to make it tasteful.
Also, the chicken cutlet wasn't fried very well. It was rather soggy and had a layer of skin on each piece :S

It was a struggle to try to finish this and eventually, I only managed to eat half of it and this too because I was disgusted to find hair inside the chilli!
That very night and for a few days after, I had really bad diarrhea and vomitting and I would suspect that I got food poisoning from the hor fun as I did not eat anything else after that.

Definitely not patronizing this stall again after this horrible experience!

BBQ chicken Cry Dec 19, 2011

After my first visit to this stall where I tried their fried chicken + spicy beancurd and absolutely LOVED the food, I had to go back again to try another dish!
However this time round, I was disappointed sad

I ordered their BBQ chicken which came with a lot of gravy.
However it was too salty and the chicken had mostly fats and skin on it which was disgusting!
I couldn't bring myself to finish the chicken and ended up eating the rice with soup.

Shall stick to their fried chicken on my next visit!

Black Pepper Chicken Cry Dec 19, 2011
Categories : Asian Variety | Indian | Restaurant

During a trip to Little India, my best friend and I went to the Banana Leaf Apolo located nearer to The Verge and Tekka Market.
We ordered the Black Pepper Chicken instead of the usual curry or tandoori chicken.

However, we were quite disappointed by it sad
There were more bones than meat.
Also, the meat was rather tough.

From past experiences, I prefer the other outlet as the food from this outlet tends to vary in quality :S

Chicken Mayo sandwich Cry Dec 17, 2011
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Bakery

While rushing in between classes, I grabbed a Chicken Mayo to keep the hunger pangs at bay.
However, I didn't quite like the sandwich though.
There was too much mayo which made me feel very jelat and the chicken chunks had a bit of fats in it.

I couldn't bring myself to finish the entire sandwich sadly sad
Definitely not a flavour I'll try again!
