Longan Drink Smile Dec 31, 2011

Categories : Hawker Centre

After having steamboat a few days ago, my mum and I went to get a drink from the stall at the hawker centre.
I went for the longan drink, which cost $1.50

I was BEYOND lost for words when I tried it.
It was seriously heavenly!!!!!!
It was of the right sweetness.
To top it off, the drink not only came with longan but also pineapples and attap seed which I LOVE!
The serving of the fruits were very generous!

Extremely delicious! YUMYUM

Steamboat! Smile Dec 31, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Food Court | Steamboat/Hot Pot

On Wednesday, my mum, 2 aunts, my cousin and I went to the Steamboat at Parkway Parade.
We've been frequenting this place for many years and it is STILL our favourite place to go for quality steamboat.

There's a WIDE variety of ingredients to choose from and we chose Chicken, Fish Balls, Fish Glue, Taufu, Taupok, Pork, 2 different veges, Quail Eggs, Beancurd Skill Roll and a few other dishes which I can't remember.
We got the tom yam soup which was very rich in flavour and just right in spiciness.
The food was also very fresh.

Definitely very yummy and I'll keep going back here!!

Mee Goreng Smile Dec 23, 2011
Categories : Halal

For lunch yesterday, my mum bought me Mee Goreng from Ananas Cafe and topped it up with an egg.
At only $2.60, I was impressed by their generous portion.

The quality of the food was good as well.
There was flavour in every bite and the egg was well cooked as well.

I only had one complain and that is that I found a bit of egg shell within the egg :S
Other than that, the food was of above average standard.
Definitely will be trying the other food out soon!

Chocolate Ice Cream Eclair Smile Dec 23, 2011

Categories : American | Café

I've tried the eclairs from Smooch on several occasions before.
It comes in a few different flavours but I've only tried their mocha and chocolate.

On this day, I tried their Chocolate Ice Cream Eclair.
As it was just taken out of the freezer, it was still frozen and very hard when I bit into the first one.
After waiting a while, it was slightly melted and perfect to eat then.

The chocolate layer on top melts into your mouth along with the ice cream from within the eclair.
Extremely yummy!

Baked Chicken Smile Dec 23, 2011

Categories : American | Restaurant | Steaks and Grills | Kids-Friendly

After exams, my classmate and I headed to Jurong Point to enjoy our freeeeeedom!
We had a great lunch at New York New York

I ordered their Baked Chicken which was served with potato wedges.
When the food arrived, my eyes widened.
It was enough for both my classmate and I to eat!
The portion was definitely really huge!
2 huge pieces of chicken and quite a lot of potato wedges on the side!

Anyway moving on to the quality of the food....
The potato wedges are probably one of the best I've tried in a long long time!
Very often, potato wedges get served rather soggy and salty.
This however was crispy and definitely wasn't too cringe-worthy salty.
The chicken was, for the lack of a better word, delicious.
It was baked well and was flavourful enough on it's own without needing to be eaten with the sauce served or with chilli sauce.

A delightful and extremely satisfying meal which I've learnt to share with someone in the future rather than conquer it on my own! tongue
