Soya Bean Smile Jan 31, 2012

Before heading to Chinese Garden for the evening, I bought a refreshing cup of cold Soya Bean milk from the Mr Bean outlet there.
There was a rather long queue as many people were queuing up to get something after work.

I chose 100% sweetness for the Soya Bean milk.
I was pleasantly surprised as it wasn't too overpowering or too sweet. In fact, it had just the right amount of sweetness!
Definitely one of the better Soya Bean milk I've tried (Y)

Double Chocolate Cry Jan 31, 2012
Categories : Desserts and Cakes

As I was passing by Mr Bean yesterday, I realised that they had a new flavour for their pancake; DOUBLE CHOCOLATE!
Being a chocolate lover, I definitely couldn't just walk on by without trying it!

Howwwwwwwever, I was disappointed!
The pancake was cold and hard and the flour was too thick.
The double chocolate filling in it was also too thick and rather bitter.
It definitely would have been much better if it was warm as the chocolate would have been more melted and the pancake would have been softer.

Huge disappointment sad

On an early Wednesday morning, my friend and I headed to Ikea for breakfast.
As it was my first time there, I wasn't sure what to order so I decided on one of their set breakfast.

My breakfast comprised a sunny side up, two thick slices of ham, two sausages and pancakes.
The sausages were absolutely delicious! Very juicy and yummy.
The ham slices were thick and flavourful.
The sunny side up was rather normal definitely.

I was disappointed with the pancakes.
My friend had told me that they're really good but I felt that it was rather bland.

Overall, I would say the breakfast was of above average standard and I'm definitely gonna head back soon to try the other stuff! lol

Spending per head: Approximately $4

BBQ Chicken Wings Smile Jan 31, 2012   (Related Review)

Although the Sambal Stingray from this stall wasn't good, I tried the chicken wings on another day when I came with friends.
The BBQ chicken wings were surprisingly really good!
It definitely exceeded me expectations.

The meat was very succulent and juicy.
The addition of lime enhanced the flavours and made it more heavenly.
Also, the chilli provided went really well with the meat.

Loved the chicken wings!!
At $1 a piece, it's definitely worth it!

Sambal Stingray OK Jan 31, 2012
Categories : Hawker Centre | BBQ

I was here for dinner on Sunday with my parents.
Upon recommendation of this stall, I decided to order the sambal stingray.
There was already a long queue when I went to order and the wait was rather long.
Inevitably, I had high expectations for the stingray!

When the stingray arrived, the first thing I noticed was the size.
Yes, I did order the smallest one but the portion of this was definitely significantly smaller than from when I ordered elsewhere.
Secondly. there wasn't a generous amount of sambal at all.
My parents and I finished the sambal really fast cause there was just so little!
The only good thing about the stingray was that the meat was very succulent.
However with the lack of sambal, it didn't bring out the flavours sufficiently.
