Steamboat! Smile Dec 31, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Food Court | Steamboat/Hot Pot

On Wednesday, my mum, 2 aunts, my cousin and I went to the Steamboat at Parkway Parade.
We've been frequenting this place for many years and it is STILL our favourite place to go for quality steamboat.

There's a WIDE variety of ingredients to choose from and we chose Chicken, Fish Balls, Fish Glue, Taufu, Taupok, Pork, 2 different veges, Quail Eggs, Beancurd Skill Roll and a few other dishes which I can't remember.
We got the tom yam soup which was very rich in flavour and just right in spiciness.
The food was also very fresh.

Definitely very yummy and I'll keep going back here!!

Nasi Lemak OK Dec 23, 2011
Categories : Hawker Centre

For lunch a few days back, my dad bought Nasi Lemak from this stall in the hawker centre.
It came with a fried chicken drumstick, otah, fish, egg and sambal.
The fried chicken had a whole layer of fats and skin on top which was a huge turn off.
However, the meat did taste very good though.
The otah was a rather small piece and it tasted very mild.
I didn't quite like the fish as it tasted a little funny.
The egg...well it tasted normal.

Overall, I think the food was pretty average and I'll give this a miss next time.

Mee Goreng Smile Dec 23, 2011

Categories : Halal

For lunch yesterday, my mum bought me Mee Goreng from Ananas Cafe and topped it up with an egg.
At only $2.60, I was impressed by their generous portion.

The quality of the food was good as well.
There was flavour in every bite and the egg was well cooked as well.

I only had one complain and that is that I found a bit of egg shell within the egg :S
Other than that, the food was of above average standard.
Definitely will be trying the other food out soon!

Mixeddd rice! Cry Dec 23, 2011

Feeling famished, I had a tough time deciding which ingredients to choose as there was a huge spread lined up in front of me.
I ended up settling for the sausage with baked beans, ketchup chicken and potato with minced meat.

I was greatly disappointed!!
The ketchup chicken was made up mostly of bones and skin and was honestly, rather disgusting to eat. I ended up putting the meat at one side and not touching it after a few bites.
The sausage with baked beans wasn't very good either. It tasted of too much tomato sauce! sad
The only thing I liked was the potato...not even the minced meat which tasted quite weird.

A very bad lunch!!
Won't choose this ingredients again ;(

Chocolate Ice Cream Eclair Smile Dec 23, 2011

Categories : American | Café

I've tried the eclairs from Smooch on several occasions before.
It comes in a few different flavours but I've only tried their mocha and chocolate.

On this day, I tried their Chocolate Ice Cream Eclair.
As it was just taken out of the freezer, it was still frozen and very hard when I bit into the first one.
After waiting a while, it was slightly melted and perfect to eat then.

The chocolate layer on top melts into your mouth along with the ice cream from within the eclair.
Extremely yummy!
