BEST chicken wings ever!!!!! Smile Oct 23, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Food Court | BBQ

I've never really been a fan of BBQ chicken wings as I've never tried very good ones before.
However on this one occasion, my friend dragged me to this outlet at Vivo and ordered so many wings and forced me to try them!
And for that, I have to thank my friend.

THESE ARE HONESTLY THE BEST CHICKEN WINGS EVER!
I've never tried chicken wings that are this flavourful and juicy before.
They're definitely well-marinated and bbq-ed to perfection!
However on the rare occasion, the wings can be a little overcooked and slightly burnt but this adds a very delicious charred flavour to it!

Ever since that very first time I tried this chicken wings, I've been going back often.
Although a little pricier than some other places, this are definitely worth your every cent.

Do try it! You won't be disappointed ;)
Be warned though, you won't be able to resist coming back for more smile

During lunch at Pines Cafe, I was really really thirsty so I decided to give the Barley drink a try to quench my thirst.
I would say it was pretty good. It was just the right sweetness and it definitely did quench my thirst!
Also, it was served in a hugeeeeee glass and just for $2!

Definitely something to drink when you need a thirst quencher! smile

Chicken Cube Fried Rice! Smile Oct 23, 2011

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Steaks and Grills

Pines Cafe has always been a hot favourite among students from SIM and Ngee Ann Poly.
I finally visited the cafe after many months and ordered the Chicken Cube Fried Rice.

As always, the serving didn't fail to surprise me.
The portion has always been and still is very generous, enough to be shared between two people which is exactly what i did!
The fried rice is served with sambal belachan which complements the food really well.
Also, it is served with lettuce which is drizzled with a sauce, which I pressume is the Thousand Island dressing.
The portion of chicken in the fried rice is very generous as well.
The chicken is very chewy, tender, juicy and flavourful. Also, it doesn't have fats or skin on it which makes it so much tastier and healthier as well!

At only $4, what is there not to like about this satisfying meal! smile

Curry Fried Rice Smile Oct 20, 2011
Categories : Indian | Food Court

For lunch on one of the days last week, I decided to give this new stall a try!
I ordered their Curry Fried Rice.

The fried rice was served with an egg, sausages, crabstick and cucumbers. Also, they served a bowl of curry with a big piece of potato in it.
The fried rice had a nice crunch to it and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of ingredients it came with.
The combination of it was great plus the curry made the rice less dry and more flavourful which was wonderful.

At only $2.80, I will definitely be going back for more!!!

Ayam Goreng Smile Oct 20, 2011
Categories : Indonesian | Food Court | Halal

During one period of time, my friend and I were obsessed over this shop and used to have lunch from here daily for 2 or 3 weeks straight!
On one of these occasions, I ordered the Ayam Goreng rice.

The chicken was fried well and was very tender and crispy, just the way I love it!
However, there was a layer of skin and fats on it.
The chicken would've tasted much better without that for sure.
The rice was served in a generous portion and the curry was good as well.

Definitely worth a try or more smile
