Being a huge fan of KitKat, I dropped by Candy Empire at Somerset recently to try out the Kitkat Caramel.
Although it's rather expensive at $3, I decided to give it a try anyway cause....it's kitkat afterall!!

As always, Kitkat never fails to surprise me.
I love the crispy, crunchy wafer bit at the bottom which makes it all the more tastier.
The addition of caramel was a nice touch and it complemented the kitkat well.

However if I had to choose between the original and the caramel, I'll choose the original without a doubt!

Instead of getting the usual Oven Roasted Chicken Breast, I decided to give the Turkey Ham a try as it looked really delicious as well!!
I ordered the Parmesan Oregano bread and had it toasted with cheese.
I got all the veges except for tomatoes as it tends to make the bread soggy really fast.
Also, I decided to try a sauce which I've never tried before; Red Wine.

The turkey ham sub was definitely a good choice.
Generous amount of ham and it tasted great.
However, I couldn't taste the Red Wine sauce at all!
Perhaps I should just stick to my usual sauce in the future or request for more sauce to bring out the flavours!

During lunch time, Megabites is always really packed along with all the other food places nearby.
Hence very often, I just order a sandwich from Quick Bites when I lack the patience to queue or when the hunger pangs are uncontrollable.

The egg mayo sandwich from Quick Bites is definitely worth a try.
The bread is always toasted well and the egg mayo is spread generously.
The mayo isn't very overpowering to the point of being jelat either unlike at some places that I've tried.
The sandwich also comes with lettuce, cucumers and tomatoes, hence making it a healthier choice as well for those health conscious ones out there!

At only $2.50, it makes a good meal.
However, it is quite light and will leave you feeling hungry within 2 hours.
Best recommended to be eaten as a snack!

Being a huge fan of Chicken Rice, my family and I often visit the Five Star Hainanese Cuisine Branch in River Valley.
Firstly, the service there is really good.
I've been patronizing this outlet for many years and get good service majority of the time.
The only frustrating thing is that sometimes, the staff are unable to speak proper English but other than that, they're friendly.

On this occasion, we ordered takeaway from the outlet.
The staff were very generous when we asked for more chilli and garlic and did not hesitate to give us as many as we wanted.

Once I got home, the chicken rice was still very warm.
The rice is very generously served in a huge portion.
However for the amount of rice served, the chicken is really little in comparison.
The tenderness and juiciness of the chicken more than makes up for it though.

Also, we brought our own soup container which the staff helped to fill up.
The soup is as always, really good and flavourful though a bit salty at times.

Definitely one of the best chicken rice I've tried!!

It was mid-day and I was craving something small to munch on when I came across Old Chang Kee.
Having only tried Old Chang Kee once before, I decided to give it a try again.
The cheesy chicken balls were calling out to me and soon, I gave in to the temptation!

The cheesy chicken balls were really warm when I got it and the moment my teeth sank into it, the cheese squirted out.
It was....*heavenly*.
Cheese fans out there would know how awesome it is to get a mouth full of melted cheese especially when combined with chicken! MMMMMMM. Goodness beyond belief!

After I was done with the 3 cheesy chicken balls, I felt full and definitely very satisfied.
A great snack!!
