For a chillout session, my friends and I went to Hong Kong cafe during mid-day.
As it was a weekday, the cafe was rather quiet and the staff were very attentive!

I ordered their Peanut Butter & Condensed Milk Toast.
It was very rich, dense and thick!!
The toast was crispy and the peanut butter and condensed milk complemented each other very well.
It does get a little overpowering after a few bites as it's very sweet and a little too thick, leaving you very thirsty.
Hence, I recommend sharing this with another person.

Other than that, this is a MUST TRY! lol

After a day out shopping with mum, we cam to the Hong Kong Cafe for snacks before heading home.
My mum and I ordered their Custard Buns along with drinks.

The custard buns are served in three's and are rather huge.
I remember them being very soft and fluffy and when you bite into it, the custard flows into your mouth, all warm!
It was really heavenly that my mum and I ordered another set.

Definitely gonna be going back for more of this yummy buns lol

Chicken rice!! Smile Jan 31, 2012

It had been a while since I had had chicken rice and I was having a massive craving for it!
So of course the only stall I looked for was a chicken rice one and I was beyond elated when I found it.

I ordered the roasted chicken rice.
Firstly, the portion of chicken served was rather generous.
The chicken meat was juicy and tender and the roasted skin was quite crispy.
I liked how the soup wasn't too salty either (Y)
The chilli wasn't too bland or too spicy but just the right mix and when eaten with the chicken rice, was just delicious!

Yumyum, a craving satisfied well!

While at NEX a couple of weeks back, my friends and I were contemplating between Din Tai Fung and Swensens for dinner.
We ended up heading to Swensens instead as the queue was much shorter.
As we were starving, we ordered sides along with our main courses.

The Mozarella Cheese Sticks were an absolute delight.
It was fried to perfection and very crispy.
The cheese was chewy and perfectly melted.
Definitely my favourite side from Swensens! lol lol lol

Soya Bean Smile Jan 31, 2012

Before heading to Chinese Garden for the evening, I bought a refreshing cup of cold Soya Bean milk from the Mr Bean outlet there.
There was a rather long queue as many people were queuing up to get something after work.

I chose 100% sweetness for the Soya Bean milk.
I was pleasantly surprised as it wasn't too overpowering or too sweet. In fact, it had just the right amount of sweetness!
Definitely one of the better Soya Bean milk I've tried (Y)
