Sago Melaka Smile Jan 31, 2012
Categories : Singaporean | Stall / Kiosk

While waiting for my printing to be done a few shops away, I came to Fruitti to have a dessert.
They have a wide range of desserts which are not very commonly seen outside.

I settled for the Sago Melaka, a dessert which I've never tried prior to this.
The sago was so soft yet chewy and they were generous with the serving of sugar, making this dessert an absolute delight to eat!
I enjoyed every single bite of it and it's one of my top few favourite desserts now.

Definitely a delight! Yummy! lol

Spending per head: Approximately $2.20

After having steamboat a few days ago, my mum and I went to get a drink from the stall at the hawker centre.
I went for the longan drink, which cost $1.50

I was BEYOND lost for words when I tried it.
It was seriously heavenly!!!!!!
It was of the right sweetness.
To top it off, the drink not only came with longan but also pineapples and attap seed which I LOVE!
The serving of the fruits were very generous!

Extremely delicious! YUMYUM

Chocolate Puff  Smile Dec 23, 2011

Categories : Bakery

I've been a HUGE fan of Swissbake ever since I tried their Chocolate Puffs!
While working at Harbourfront, I used to buy from Swissbake almost daily to keep me company in the office or to have it for breakfast!!

I was very happy when I was at Cluny Court and saw a Swissbake there.
Of course, I couldn't help but to succumb to their heavenly chocolate puffs!
They have an everyday, all the time promotion where when you buy 5, you can one free.
As always, I would end up getting 6 because one...or two...or three....or....is never enough!

Once you start popping this chocolatey goodness in your mouth, it requires all your willpower to stop!
Trust me, I've been there.....one too many times!!

Anyway their chocolate puffs are best eaten when freshly out of the oven.
It will be very warm and crispy and the chocolate will just ooze out and melt into your mouth.
Sounds good, doesn't it
If you buy it when it's cold, it's still incredibly delicious.
But if you want it warm, just pop it into the microwave for a few seconds and it's good to be eaten!

Definitely not something you want to pass on ;)

Oatmeal Raisin! Smile Dec 23, 2011

Categories : American

My friend and I headed to Spinelli on one of the school days to work on our project.
While there, I ordered their Oatmeal Raisin cookies to keep me company.

Their cookies are absolutely huge!!
On top of that, it's simply yummy!
The cookie's not hard but rather chewy, just like how I like them to be.

Never knew Spinelli had good cookies till I tried the Oatmeal Raisin!
Now that I know, I'll definitely head back there just for the cookies and the occasional drink ;)

Customised Baked Rice Smile Dec 19, 2011

Categories : Singaporean Western | Restaurant | Pasta | Steaks and Grills | Halal | Kids-Friendly

Eighteen Chefs used to be a popular hangout for my friends and I when we were back in Secondary School.
We just couldn't get enough of the baked rice!

To reminisce those days, my friends and I met up at Eighteen Chefs for dinner on Friday night.
As always, I stuck to ordering their baked rice.
I ordered the student meal which comprises 1 Cheese Baked Rice/Pasta, 1 Iced Lemon Tea and 1 Ice Cream.
At $6.40, that makes a very affordable yet extremely filling meal!

The student meal only has 4 options for the main ingredient in the baked rice; Chicken Sausage, Mushrooms, Baked Beans or Scrambled Eggs.
I chose Chicken Sausage and for the sauce, I chose Black Pepper out of the total 8 choices of sauces they have.
Also, I added Chicken Slices which cost an additional $3.50 but comes with 1 additional free ingredient of the same or lower cost. So for the third ingredient, I chose scrambled eggs.

From what I recall from my secondary school days, the portion of the baked rice is exactly the same!
The amount of cheese and meat served is generous and it is perfect for all those CHEESE lovers out there!!
However in terms of quality and taste, it is definitely not as delicious as back then but still of a high enough standard.
As always, it was a struggle to finish the baked rice.
Once you're about halfway through the baked rice, you tend to feel really really full but since it's really cheesy and yummy, it's rather difficult to resist finishing it!

Once I was done with the baked rice, I couldn't imagine eating anything for the next few hours.
I had completely forgotten about the ice cream that was to be served!
But as a saying goes "there's always another stomach for desserts" and I hold true to that!
I was served a scoop of chocolate ice cream, which although was rather normal, was exactly what I needed after eating so much cheese and meat!

Lastly, the Iced Lemon Tea served is rather refreshing and not loaded with sugar.
Rather it's pleasantly sweet and thirst quenching.

Definitely a nice place to chill out at with friends ;)
