Chicken Fried Rice Cry Dec 19, 2011
Categories : Vietnamese | Food Court | Chinese Soup

A few Saturday's ago, I had dinner from the Viet Kitchen stall at Kopitiam.
I was craving fried rice and hence, chose the Chicken Fried Rice which looked really good in the picture.

However when the food was presented to me, it was a far cry from the ones on the picture.
The presentation of the food wasn't very appealing and the food looked rather bland.
However I know better than to judge a book by it's cover cause sometimes the food can really surprise you (in a good way).
This didn't though sad

The fried rice was rather tasteless and the chicken was tough and dry, lacking flavour.
Definitely was disappointed as I expected so much better!

Raspberry Cheesecake!! Smile Dec 19, 2011

Priot to attending a recent Study Fair held at Orchard Hotel, my friend and I dropped by Subway to get some cookies for snacks.
I decided to try their newest flavour, Raspberry Cheesecake.

It was absolutely HEAVENLY!
The cookie was soft and chewy, just the way I love my cookies!
The raspberry bits in the cookie go so well with the cheesecake.
I just couldn't get enough of these and finished all 3 cookies within just a few minutes.

Simply yummy and it is now my favourite cookie flavour from Subway!

Chicken Hor Fun Cry Dec 19, 2011
Categories : Food Court

I've eaten at this stall a couple of times before and tried only their rice dishes.
This time however, I decided to try their Chicken Hor Fun instead.
Huge mistake!!

The Hor Fun was extremely bland and quite watery and I had to concentrate it with lots of green chilli as well as sambal to make it tasteful.
Also, the chicken cutlet wasn't fried very well. It was rather soggy and had a layer of skin on each piece :S

It was a struggle to try to finish this and eventually, I only managed to eat half of it and this too because I was disgusted to find hair inside the chilli!
That very night and for a few days after, I had really bad diarrhea and vomitting and I would suspect that I got food poisoning from the hor fun as I did not eat anything else after that.

Definitely not patronizing this stall again after this horrible experience!

Study Session! Smile Dec 19, 2011

After a recent study session with my friends at Changi Airport, we headed to the Soup Spoon to takeaway for dinner!
I ordered their set meal which comprises soup, a wrap/sandwich and the last being, a drink, a muffin, chips or an apple.

For their soup, I ordered the Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff.
For their wrap, I ordered the Chicken Tikka.
And for the sides, I ordered the muffin.

The soup is MUST-TRY for all those mushroom lovers out there!
It is of a thick consistency, with generous amounts of mushroom chunks.
Also, it has a peppery taste to it, making it all the more delicious!

Their wrap, however, is disappointly small especially for the exorbitant price they charge!
But the taste does make up for it, not fully but to a certain extent!

Lastly, their muffin was rather average and nothing to scream about.

Overall, I think that the food priced at The Soup Spoon is rather pricey and the only thing that's worth it is their soup which is served in a generous portion.
Their wrap is ridiculously small though delicious.

Probably wouldn't eat here again unless it's for their soup!

Hawaiian Pizza Smile Dec 19, 2011
Categories : Pasta | Halal

Having a craving for pizza, my friend and I went to Pizza Hut.
I ordered the Hawaiian Pizza as it had been a while since I had it.

The pizza was thick and chewy, with a generous amount of stringy melted cheese.
Also the ham and pineapples served of course complemented each other well.

Definitely satisfied my craving for pizza.
Yummy!
