Long Beach Seafood Restaurant  (Dempsey Rd)

This is my second time at a Long Beach restaurant and this time its at the Dempsey branch. I have to say that the food was mediocore. I personally think the best dish was only the rice itself. The butter crabs we ordered were not that fantastic if i compare to other places like Melben, Seafood Paradise and Jumbo. I have to say though that the service was not too bad. Overrall, i would think it is highly overrated.

hidden in a quite corner of bugis junction , this restaurant resembles an old cozy cottage . ive been here about 5 times now, some of the must orders are the scotch eggs, hamburger steaks , and escargots. the sauce is said to be stewed for 100 days or something , impressive! at the end of the meal you take a large key ( with the table number) and bring it to the cashier to pay your bill. pretty weird but cool at the same time

Must tries are the Grilled Chillean Cod Fish and Muddy Mud Pie.

I have to say this place is only slightly above average, what i like about it is the ambience.

It is really suitable if you are looking for affordable food and the place is great for chilling out with your friends.

Seng Kee Black Chicken Herbal Soup  (Kembangan)

This place is highly recommended if you are looking for simple chinese fare.

I would highly recommend the herbal chicken mee sua, prawn cakes and their steam fish.

Prices have increased a little since a few years back (with inflation and all going on), I still love heading to this place for dinner.

Do visit it if you have not yet try it.

sad theres always a long queue for this so i thought id give it a try , especially with all its hype. after a good 10 minutes of queuing finally got my plate of chicken rice. for me the chicken wasnt quite as tender , and the rice was too oily. in short i was pretty disappointed. the item that stood out most for me was the chilli in fact. on the whole its not bad but i wont be queuing for this again
