Fresh seafood Smile Jul 27, 2012

This seafood restaurant is famous for the giant groupers dishes, however we didn't order any of them. What attracts us more is the KL style fried Hokkien noodles. The dark sauced noodles might not have glamorous look, but the taste is fantastic and authentic!

The pumpkin tofu is very delicious and goes well with rice. The pumpkin puree sauce is slightly sweet, together with some crab meat and shrimps, it's very appetizing. The tofu is silkily smooth too.

We also ordered some seafood. The fried flat noodles is covered with starchy egg gravy and topped with giant big head prawn, thumbs up! The prawns are super fresh and crunchy!

The garlic grilled prawns is another recommended dish if you don't mind to have garlic breath.

Dessert OK Jul 27, 2012

This is the first time I tried this dessert stall. They serve quite a variety of cold and hot dessert, and the most popular one is the jelly dessert. I did not order that but tried their durian cendol. The huge bowl of cendol consists of shaved ice, greenish cendol, lots of coconut cream, red bean etc. Finally it is topped with a generous spread of durian paste. Overall taste is ordinary and easily acceptable.

It was a hot afternoon that we decided to have some cooling dessert at the Kopitiam. We ordered the bubur cha cha ($2.70). It turned out to be this very colourful dessert, as lots of jelly (of different colours) on top of the shaved ice. I like the thick coconut taste, together with yam and sweet potato.

Chng Tng ($1.90) on teh other hand is alright too, though I actually expected more ingredients than this.

I always like to order their signature salad from the board, which save me time thinking what salad ingredients I should choose if I make my own. This time round I tried the Sunshine Reggae ($11), The salad consists of lots of mxed Greens, generous amount of tuna flakes, brown rice, snow peas, brocolli, tomato, walnuts, lemon & Oil dressing. It also contain red onion, but it's not my favourite hence I asked the staff to change it to grapes instead.

Cheaper than a facial ($9.5) is another favourite of mine. I usually will pay extra $3 to add-on the Cajun shrimp. The salad consists of Mixed Greens, Mango, Tomato, Cucumber, Carrot, Vermicelli, Mint, Thai Lemongrass Dressing. The dressing could be slightly spicy for some people.

New flavours OK Jul 19, 2012

Starbucks has just launched two new flavours for their frappuccino. Hojicha with earl grey tea jelly frappuccino is very new combination to most of the people. Hojicha is a kind of Japanese roasted tea, slightly bitter but matches so well with the earl grey infused jelly. However, it's a bit sweet I reckon.

Another new flavour is the red bean and green tea frappuccino. The combination of these two ingredients are not new as lots of Japanese desserts consist of red bean and green tea. It's quite a refreshing summer drink, early accepted taste.
