Taro Milk Tea Smile Jun 15, 2012
Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

It is the very first time I tried A-Gan Tea, and I have ordered the famous signature drink - Taro Milk Tea ($4.30 large), with 0% sugar. Surprisingly it still tastes sweet, naturally sweet and not too over, just nice. The drink is filled with chewy jelly with taro (yam) flavour. Very refreshing and definitely is one of the best Taro Milk Tea I ever had in Singapore.

Fresh but expensive Smile Jun 15, 2012

Categories : Coffeeshop | Seafood | Zi Char

We decided to order a fish dish during our countless visit to this zi char place. The White Pomfret fish is huge and steamed in Teochew style, with lots of preserved vegetables, plum, tomato, some ginger slices, and Japanese egg tofu. The fish is very fresh and it tastes appetizing and yummy, but this dish costs us $40! Expensive ya!

We also ordered the stir-fried fish hor fun, it has lots of bean sprouts and tastes delicious as usual.

Fish noodles Smile Jun 15, 2012

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong

If you don't see the menu carefully, you might not know that this stall actually sell fish/prawn noodles apart from the char siew, rosted chicken/ duck rice or noodles. I ordered their fish noodles ($5) the other day. The portion is huge and very filling. What so special about this fish noodles is that it contains lots of preserved vegetables, giving a hint of sourness to the soup. It also contain some Chinese wine and quite a few chopped chilli in the soup. The multi-flavours is very satisfying!

Hearty breakfast OK Jun 15, 2012

Categories : American

Conveniently located outside the Kent Ridge circle line MRT, this Coffee Bean outlet is consistently filled with staffs and students from NUH and NUS. Very crowded most of the time. I was there early in the morning to get my breakfast and coffee dose. I had the Egg Benedict set that comes with milk coffee. You will get discount if you pay by UOB credit card. The english muffin is not very much toasted, but the poached egg is very nicely done. The hollandaise sauce looks quite light in colour compared to those I used to have, but it tastes good too. Also, not to forget their delicious side salad that contains the dried berries and lettuce, taste good.

bibimbap OK Jun 15, 2012
Categories : Korean | Food Court

The Korean bibimbap mixed rice is a very balanced-diet meal. The rice consists of lots of side dishes, such as cucumber, carrot, bean sprouts, radish, seaweed, and chicken slices. The well-marinated chicken slices are quite tender. However, the fried-egg is a bit too cooked for me that the egg yolk is not runny enough. When I mixed all the ingredients together, the general texture is not moist enough due to the cooked egg yolk. But the bibimbap sauce is a star, very nice and not just the spicy taste.
