I would be stupid to not know that the $2 Mc Chicken is gone but compared to the nearby eateries, there really isn’t anything more worthwhile and convenient. It is so close to the beach, many people come here to cool off after a warm day. The place is quite spacious and it definitely beats walking all the way to harbourfront centre. Rather messy burger I got but it tastes fine.
The chicken patty is crispy and hot. Though the vegetables did not taste as fresh, the mayo sauce along with some bbq sauce worked like magic. Some average bun with great tender chicken!

Unagi Rice Smile Mar 29, 2012

Though the unagi are realy tiny bits and shreds, the fried rice is really nice! The wok hei smell is there, when the waiter served it, I just could wait to eat it, I took up my utensils before remembering I had to take a picture, that's why for fork and spoon are placed in such a weird way hehe...
The unagi yakimeshi is served with just the unagi, some fried egg, spring onions and i think, a little salted fish.

Japanese Curry Smile Mar 29, 2012

I rather fancy Waraku’s Japanese curry chicken cutlet, so much so that I would prefer this to Sushi Tei’s. The portion may look smaller, but they are actually the same. The curry is thick, a little sweet. The rice is soft but not fragrant, nothing much but a good mix with the curry. The chicken cutlet is really crispy! It was served hot and I love how the chicken is so thick.

Lychee OK Mar 29, 2012

Looking for a decent quiet and somewhat cozy place to hang out with your friends during off peaks? This place serves the purpose well. To lighten up the mood, the restaurant plays some kids channel which shows cartoons. A good way to keep children to their seats huh?
The lychee smoothie drink was a little disappointing. One taste and I knew they used some inferior kind of cordial. The taste was just too artificial. The added topping of a single lychee did not save the drink, by the way, it was not that fresh also. Stick to the mains, not the drinks
sad

Song Huat Laksa Smile Mar 29, 2012

The chilli is not that spicy but as a chilli lover, I just had to get more for a more shiok feeling. The gravy is nice, the coconut milk is quite a lot, making it smell really good. Without the chilli paste, the laksa gravy is a little thick but because of the coconut milk used, the lamek makes the gravy a nice one. The noodles are cooked well and the tau pok takes up the gravy very well. Every bite has lots of gravy in it.
