You Tiao Smile Dec 02, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Bakery

Thank got I had some spare plastic bags with me; the you tiaos were so oily (as usual). The plastic bag given could not cover the entire you tiaos. Despite that sinful, hard to wash away feeling, the you tiao tasted amazing! Crispy as cornflakes and colour golden brown, this you tiao is halal too. Reasonably priced, it's a quick fix at a shopping centre.

Rojak Smile Dec 02, 2011

Wah biang eh! This stall is a die die must try! I queued for 25 minutes leh but worth it lah! So much peanuts on the rojak and the you tiao and dao pok are so crispy, fresh from the toaster. I admire the uncle who made the rojak man, can stand there mix so many packets and plates without getting tired. I don't think I can even last 10 minutes. The queue was really non stop!

Fried Rice Smile Nov 04, 2011

The best tom yam fried rice I have ever tasted!
Spicy and fragrant, once you sniff it, you have to indulge in it. The rice is tender and of the right texture. It may not look like it but the rice is somewhat shiny when it arrived, very presentable indeed. The tom yum taste is very consistent, not like some which have some areas of their rice being way too saltish and some without any taste. The prawn is fresh and Q-Q too! After that plate, I felt like I could eat another one, very kai wei leh!

Nice! Smile Nov 03, 2011

One of the better curry puffs I have tasted.
The skin is well done but if it could be with lesser oil, the better.
The filling is good, moist enough and tasty. The curry paste is not too spicy and the potato is oh so tender.
It is rather addictive and by the time I knew it, I had finished mine. Buying one is not enough. tongue

Located at near the start of Thompson, this small cafe packs a small crowd of teens after school hours.
The waffle with chocolate chip ice cream is exceptionally nice due to the unique texture of the ice cream. Rubbery like, the ice cream gives me a poing-poing feeling in my mouth. Accompanied with the hot and crispy waffle, the combination of crispy and chewy packs a punch!
