Hai Yan Drink Stall Smile Mar 29, 2012

The milo here is not the overly sweet kind unlike some stalls which give you an entire spoon of condensed milk. The milo is also thick enough and the drink is served very hot. Even after my meal, the milo was still that hot that it could have burnt my tongue if I wasn’t careful. At 90 cents, it isn't cheap but at least it's a pleasure to drink. Their sugar cane drink is nice too! Give it a try

Soy Smile Mar 29, 2012

Tried on something new today, the green tea soy milk and it tastes quite good! The green tea taste is not that obvious and seems to be more soy milk taste than the green tea. The drink is sweet and not like actual green teas which are really quite bitter. Besides coffee, starbucks serves quite good alternatives.

Yong Tau Foo Smile Mar 27, 2012

Nothing but good old yong tau fu for the morning stomach. The ingredients are fresh, especially the mushroom with fishcake, very juicy! The special chilli does not really make this stall a must try but together with the sweet sauce, the mix is a good one. The chilli by itself, is not that spicy, so don’t worry about having a bad stomach to start your day at work.

Though the fish is nothing to shout about, I love the presentation! The mashed potato is so cute! The taste is nice, with some light mayo in it. The coleslaw was nice too, not watery and the vegetables were fresh. The fries were ok though the fried fish could be larger portioned. All in all, a not bad meal.

One of the better soft and silky texture of dou hua I have ever tasted, the shop is located near to the flea market sungei road. Despite it’s small shop area and several empty tables vacant, the dou hua does it’s owner justice. Most people here come for their dou hua, or at least their soya bean drink.
