Popiah Smile Mar 26, 2012

Best popiah skin I have ever had. Of course, you will have to eat it on the spot, or else the skin will be soft and soggy. The ingredients are an awesome mix. The peanuts and pork lard make the dish a crispy, wet and succulent mouthful of vegetables. Great turnip fillings!

Bee Hoon Smile Mar 26, 2012

My favourite stall with the ngioh hiam. The outer skin is crispy though at times it may be slightly over fried, the fillings are nice and tender. The bee hoon is simple and nice, not sweet but a little salty. The chilli goes well with the beancurd, which is also quite smooth.

Yong Seng Beverage Smile Mar 26, 2012

This sugar cane drink stall has frequent visitors besides our human friends, the bees! They seem to be attracted to the sugar cane machine and many but not dozens, are seen flying around. This means that the sugar cane is naturally sweet, with no artificial flavourings added. Nice tasting and good draining, the drink makes the money well worth.

New World Mutton Soup Smile Mar 26, 2012

Love the soup, love the ingredients, love the chilli!
Thick, flavourful but not overwhelming, the addition of vinegar helps to ease off the rather herbal taste.
Mutton meat is very tender and the bones are easily identified. If you accidentally chew on it, you won’t feel a thing either.
Chilli is spicy, spicy, SPICY! Power!

Soya Bean Smile Mar 22, 2012

Lesson learnt. Never ask for a hot soya bean drink. The drink was so hot, I was hardly able to take the cup for more than 5 seconds. I had to leave the soya bean drink on the food tray in order for me to get it to my table.
That aside, the drink is quite thick and delicious. The amount of sugar syrup is just nice but you may like to ask for lesser if you are health conscious.
