Something different Cry Mar 05, 2013

I tried something different on my last visit to Ikea Alexandra. By something different, I meant no meatballs and chicken wings! My friend and I were there for tea, and tried to order something healthy - the vegetable crepe. It was, to say the least, not very tasty. We couldn't even finish one of the two pancakes.

We then tried a dessert, the princess cake. It was too sweet and we couldn't finish half.

Overall, a disappointing triip to Ikea. We will definitely be back for the meatballs and chicken wings next time. However, the horse meat scare means that meatballs have been removed from the menu. sad

Crispy Prata  Smile Mar 05, 2013

Categories : Indian

Came here on a weekday afternoon and the place was not crowded.

It was my first time there, and on my friend's recommendation, I ordered the Banana chocolate prata for $3.80. It was extremely delicious. The prata was crispy and the banana was sliced and wrapped up inside the prata, with chocolate sauce drizzled on top of it.

Even though the shop is very out of the way, I would definitely come back here to try the other pratas!!

Snow Ice Smile Mar 05, 2013

We ordered black sesame snow ice, champagne grape snow ice and mango snow ice!

It was only my second time trying snow ice, and I must say it was as lovely as I remembered it to be.

My favourite was the mango snow ice. The mango was sweet and pleasing to the tastebuds.

I'm not really a fan of sesame, but my friends were and they loved the sesame snow ice!

In my opinion, I thought the champagne grape snow ice tasted very sweet and sort of how grape sweets (Mentos, perhaps) taste like.

Overall, a satisfying dessert!

Cheap and good laksa Smile Mar 05, 2013

Came here on a saturday and the cafe was crowded, but not too crowded. We managed to get a table for 4 without waiting lol

I ordered Penang Laksa (about $7) and was pleasantly suurprised at how tasty it was. However, to a person with very low tolerance for spicy food like me, I thought it was a tad too spicy.

The next time I come back, I want to try the laksa goreng, as it looks rather unique and my friend commented that it was less spicy than the soup-based laksa smile

Breakfast set Smile Mar 05, 2013

Categories : Stall / Kiosk

This omellete breakfast set ($2.50-$3) is a great way to start your day! The hash browns are especially crispy and are well worth your effort to get up early to have them before morning lectures. Overall, it is worth to try it out especially when the stall has no queue in the mornings (aroung 8-9am) smile

The plain bread could taste better if it was toasted, but hey, it only costs $2plus and service is efficient! smile
