Mango Pomelo Sago Smile Mar 05, 2013
Categories : Chinese Desserts | Desserts and Cakes

It was crowded on a Friday night. Thankfully, the queue cleared up quite fast and the group of 6 of us were seated in less than 10 minutes.
I ordered the Mango Pomelo Sago (about $4) and thought it was not bad.
Luckily, the mango was sweet that day.
The system is such that you go to the counter to order and pay, and they will send your order to your seat.

Overall, it is a great place to chill with your friends and I can't wait to return back and try their other desserts!

Passionfruit Icecream OK Mar 05, 2013
Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

The concept of how they make ice cream is rather cool. They do it using liquid nitrogen, and the fun part is that they do it at the counter (behind a glass panel) such that you can see the entire process.

I order passionfruit ice cream for $4.80. I felt that the price is a tad expensive for ice cream, if you compare to other ice cream cafes. Tastewise, the passionfruit was not bad.

I was more intrigued by a wall of cup designs though. Be sure to snap a pic while you're there!

Apple Strudel  Smile Mar 05, 2013

The apple strudel here is the best. It costs about $11.90 for half a strudel, which can be shared amongst 3 people. If you're feeling peckish, it can be shared amongst 2 people as well, but bear in mind the calories consumed! smile
The shop itself is rather small and crammed, but head outside for the alfresco dining.
I would definitely come here again with my friends, it is indeed a great dessert place in Bugis!

Authentic Malay Cusine Smile Mar 05, 2013

I've tried the stingray, curry puffs, and spicy macaroni here before.

The stingray ($1.50) is the best thing to order while you are here, and also explains the long queue at the stall during peak periods.

The curry puffs (3 for $1) are a disappointment as the only taste of spiciness, and not potato or sardine. The sardine is neonish pink and that put me off a little. Also, the filling is too little for the crust.

The macaroni would taste better if it was not served cold during the peak period of lunchtime. It also is rather spicy! smile

Pratas Smile Mar 05, 2013

Categories : Indian | Stall / Kiosk

The plain prata and egg prata here are not bad. However, on my last visit, I decided to try chocolate prata ($1.20) and was utterly disappointed. The chocolate sauce used is far too little and you can barely taste it at all. I would return to this stall for the egg prata (80 cents) and plain prata! However, the egg and plain pratas are prepared beforehand and taken out of a container to serve you immediately. While that cuts waiting time, it means your pratas are not as warm and "fresh" as you would like them to be.

The photo attached is of the disappointing chocolate prata.
