The Best Steak in Singapore! Smile Oct 08, 2010

If you mention about premium quality steak, Morton has to be the only place that strikes my mind.

Being attended by the waitress, she will rattled off what seem like a scripted introduction of the various cuts of steaks, as well as seafood, that the restaurants serve as mains before the start of the dinner.

Main dishes in Morton doesnt come with any sides, any side is considered ala carte.
Their steaks are obviously the highest echelon you can find. Mouthwatering, tender and succulent - you wouldnt forget the entire dining experience!

I had mine in medium rare. Extremely generous portions (live up to its name). The best steak i have ever tasted..
With a variety of flavors to choose from it is best on its own!
If not, you could also get some seasoning such as mustard or salt and pepper to simulate your taste bud.
I would prefer mine to be original and authentic thou.

Damage is a little pricey thou, but you pay for what you get!
Steak lovers, its a must TRY!

Despite reading numerous good reviews on the lava cakes, didnt tried it as I dont really have a sweet tooth. Next round perhaps!

Excellent Buffet Spread Smile Nov 14, 2010

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Hotel | Buffet

Had our dinner at Cafe Brio on a Friday night.
It was my first time to Cafe Brio and I was absolutely impressed by the buffet spread they offered.

Seafood Spread:

Oysters, Snow crabs, Tiger prawns, Scallop, Mussel, Sashimi - none of them failed my expectation.
The oysters and snow crab especially! Extremely fresh and they were the highlight of the whole dinner.

Cooked Dishes:

They offered quite a wide variety of cooked dishes but I think I only managed to tried one or two. (Spoilt for choices)

Satay Chicken and Redang Beef - All were quite okay.

Grilled:

Lamb Chop, Tiger prawns, Squids, Steak, Otah: Taste is quite average. I think the cold dishes are much more better.

Desserts:

Quite limited selections but I do find some quality one such as their Waffles.
It was really light and crispy. Topped with a little Banana caramel topping, it would make an excellent dessert!

Service:

I was blown away by the service staff as they were really attentive and prompt in clearing the dishes & refilling your water.
They even fold your napkins back neatly while you are out pilling more food!

Overall

I think its one of the better hotel buffet around.
Ideal for seafood lover, but perhaps not for desserts nibble.

This is not just another casual Japanese restaurant.

My first visit to Tetsu was a pleasant one.
Having tried most of their stuff on the menu, there are several dishes which I would highly recommend.

Kani Tofu: Very unique appetizer. Consist of crab meat, tofu, marsh century eggs with a generous sprinkle of spring onions.

Their Rosu Katsu: Breaded Pork loin was a killer! All their pork loin are well marinated and cut to a 1inch thick. I expect it to be a little tough for its thickness but to my surprise it was extremely tender and fried to perfection. The pork loin simply melt in your mouth!

Their Sashimi was very fresh and they do serve non-usual kind of sashi such as swordfish.
They airflown all the fish from Japan every tues or fri (IIRC) to ensure the the best quality.

Decoration was classy, not rowdy and rather pleasant for casual dining.
Price are reasonable and I believe they serve one of the better Katsu in Singapore!

I would strongly recommend Tetsu for Japanese food lover.

Good enough bubble tea  Smile Nov 30, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

One thing I like about the Rivervale Outlet is that there's hardly any people queuing up for the bubble tea, so that's great. It saves me a lot of time from not queuing up.

I always go for my favourite bubble milk tea, as it's cheap, bigger cup than your usual bubble tea, as well as they are never stingy with the amount of pearls that they put in. It's a big cup of sinful delight! One thing also great is that I have also tried it with pudding and pearls, and it's heaven! The pudding really compliments the milk tea very well.

So far, I have also tried Green & Red Bubble Tea, and it's great when you want a refreshing feel, and not feeling too full as I often feel that I'm too full from the milk tea.

++ Value for money!! tongue

North Indian foodie! Smile Nov 30, 2010

The combination of Masala & Naan are one of my favorite indian cusine!

It's heartening to see that the food quality at Chat Masala have remained consistent throughout the years.

As usual, had the Naan, Garlic, cheese spinach, and plain - crispy yet soft, fluffy and fragrant. So good that it can even eat on it's own.
Fish Masala - Not disappointing at all.
Tandoori chicken - Great!

Overall the food here pretty good and wonderful. Pretty much attributed to the wonderful spice and ingredient used.

Service was attentive and polite throughout.
