Not my favourite cup of milk tea. Cry Nov 30, 2010

Categories : Stall / Kiosk

Well, I happened to be at Tampines 1 shopping, and wanted to quench my thirst, and seeing that there was a each-a-cup, i queued up to buy a bubble milk tea. The milk tea was slightly more expensive than Sweet Talk's but I was okay with it, since it was a few cents.

However, my few cents were not justified. The bubbles in the milk tea were bland in taste and they tasted 'rubbery'. Furthermore, the milk tea had more milk than tea. The person blending it was also doing it very slowly... hence, there was a queue.

I've drank Each-a-cup before else where, but I must say that this is by the far the worst experience I have had.

Good enough bubble tea  Smile Nov 30, 2010

One thing I like about the Rivervale Outlet is that there's hardly any people queuing up for the bubble tea, so that's great. It saves me a lot of time from not queuing up.

I always go for my favourite bubble milk tea, as it's cheap, bigger cup than your usual bubble tea, as well as they are never stingy with the amount of pearls that they put in. It's a big cup of sinful delight! One thing also great is that I have also tried it with pudding and pearls, and it's heaven! The pudding really compliments the milk tea very well.

So far, I have also tried Green & Red Bubble Tea, and it's great when you want a refreshing feel, and not feeling too full as I often feel that I'm too full from the milk tea.

++ Value for money!! tongue

Ice SCREAM!!  Smile Nov 30, 2010

Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

I've bought Ben and Jerry tubs a lot of times home to savour, but decided one day at Vivo to sit there and enjoy the ice cream while watching the crowd go by. I've tried a few flavours before, but I'll just mention my MUST-TRYS.

MUST TRY 1: CHUNKY MONKEY

This is absolutely must try ice cream! It taste heavenly with the banana bits and walnuts! It's absolutely delicious! Every single bit of it lands to banana pieces and walnuts! Yum Yum! Calories wasted is well-worth.

MUST TRY 2: STRAWBERRY CHEESE CAKE

This absolutely really taste like the real cheesecake, just that it is in the ice cream form! It has real strawberry bits, with real graham cheese crackers in it! It's like the real cheese cake, just that it comes in a tub! Absolutely delicious!

As for the rest, I've tried a few, but it tasted pretty normal like other brands' ice cream, so I shall not recommend it here. But you must try the above 2. It's absolutely delicious and everytime when I visit the store, I'll have the scoops! Yum!

Overpriced Waffles  OK Nov 30, 2010
Categories : Stall / Kiosk | Ice Cream and Gelato

My cousin bought a batch of the famous waffles for me this week, costing around $3 each. We had a range of flavours to choose from, and I chose the chocolate banana and caramel waffle.

I honestly do not know what the hype is about. The waffle was not very delicious, and there was a little chocolate taste to it, there was not a lot of banana pieces in it.. hence it tasted a little bland. I would have very much preferred it to have lots of banana fillings, with lots of caramel on it.. However, ingredients were insufficient, hence tasting a little bland.

Overall, not my cup of tea for waffles. I still prefer my waffles hot, with lots of ingredients in them.

Bah Kwa!  OK Nov 30, 2010
Categories : Chinese | BBQ

I always visit this outlet to purchase freshly made Bah Kwa, especially during Chinese New Year, because this is one the rare outlets that do not have a long queue. In fact, you can quickly buy your bahkwa and leave.

However, prices can be quite high during festive seasons, so I usually buy them during non-festive seasons, because they taste great for meals, or even for snacking. The bah kwa at Bee Cheng Hiang is oily, yet tender at the same time. Though it might taste a little unhealthy, it's really quite delicious to nibble small bits of it. They usually have promotions during non-festive seasons, so that would probably be the best time to buy it. tongue Unlike its competitors, Bee Cheng Hiang can be found around Singapore easily, hence it can satisfy my bah kwa craving at times.
