Good Breakfast Selection Smile Nov 30, 2010

I think Coffee bean has a pretty good variety for breakfast.

I was here very early in the morning to catch a flight for a short business trip, having an hour to hang around, I decided to have my breakfast at this coffeebean outlet @ T3 before checking in.

I order an enormous egg &bacon sandwich set which comes with free flow of coffee/tea until 11am to perk me up!
great deal isnt it?
The sandwich was better than what I've expected. Generous melted cheese on the egg & bacon, I think it's much more worthy than all the fastfood breakfast around.
Free flow of gourmet coffee or earl grey tea, I dont think you can get any better deal out while waiting for an early flight at the airport.

I'm not surprised to find this place to be packed with people during weekends.
The alfresco was rather rowdy and it's only slight better upstairs.
My agenda here was for the beer of cause!
Pretty affordable beer over here.
Had a munich lager and it didnt disappoint me.

Food here was a typical pub price range but I guess. Tried a slice of tiramisu ($10.50), a little bit pricey for a slice of cake but I think it's absolutely worth it!!

Service here was really efficient. Waitress were attentive to all your ordering needs.

Recommended place to spend your weekend night away

Sausages, not hot dogs. Smile Nov 29, 2010

Came over here to look for some finger food that will goes with my wine session later.
Chanced upon this sausage stall and decided to give it a try.
I ordered Cheesy, Cheesy Beef, Mushroom jumbo frank for take away.

Mushroom was a little tad bland, but i find the cheesy and cheesy beef pair off quite well with the usual chandoray white we had that night. Requested them to cut the sausages into small piece for me but it seems that it was divided into few big chunk instead.

I think the price are quite reasonable here for the huge jumbo sausage.
It's definitely not the usual hotdog we had from supermarket, but it's more of quality sausages.
GoGo Frank with wine!

Bak Kut Teh at Zi Char Stall Smile Nov 29, 2010

I'm surprised to find this gem at a zichar stall setup.
Infact, I'm actually a loyal fan of this zichar stall since I am frequent to this kopitiam for lunch.

The bak kut teh was not listed on their formal menu, but instead they have a list of informal menu which only available upon asking.

Priced at only $4.00 per serving, it comes with a really generous serving of baby ribs with some youtiao. It's more of the kind of peppery base bak ku teh with strong parsley fragrance.
The baby ribs were very tender, and soup are just right for my taste bud.
Strong pepper teasing feeling together with the fragrant steamed rice, it's worthy to give their bak kut teh a try when you are here.

When we talk about Nam Heng oysters, how can we miss their fried hokkien prawn mee?

Their hokkien prawn mee are an outstanding piece of work, but it's a little oily than your usual hokkien mee. They use a mixture of yellow noodle and beehoon which provide a mixture of different noodle texture.
Their fire and time controlling behind the wok are impressive. It's being fried till the prawn aroma filled the whole kopitiam!

The noodles absorb the savoury chicken stock well and the taste was simply indescribable.
Try it and you know what I mean.

Waiting time is quite okay most of the time despite the roaring business.
Look no further if you are looking for one of the best fried hokkien mee in Singapore.
