Coffee club OK Dec 13, 2011
Categories : American | Café

My friend and I decided to drop by coffee club as we had the 1-for-1 coupon for lunch. My friend ordered rose mary chicken while I ordered herb & cheese fish. This is my second time trying at the same place but it didn't taste as good as the first, maybe due to the lunch crowd. Nevertheless I still like how the fish can blend well together with the cheese and herb. The sides - carrot and vegetables are quite fresh but it will be better if there's a choice of fries or mash potato to go along with. Service is not as good as it's during lunch hour.

American breakfast OK Nov 25, 2011

American breakfast!

American breakfast!

My friend and I were craving for american breakfast and had a budget so we decided to pop by charlie brown cafe to try their american breakfast. It is a set that comes along with crepes with maple syrup, two eggs, hams and chicken chipolata sausages. The crepe has many thin layer thus it doesn't taste flourish. The eggs are done half-cooked but I'm not really a fan of half-cooked eggs (I think you can request for well done eggs). I love the ham most because they added extra seasonings to it and tasted better than normal cooked hams! Cafe is situated at the open space and thus it's abit warm but nevertheless ambience is good. It's a good place to have a casual brunch!

Snow ice! Smile Jan 29, 2014

Since a few years back, snow ice has started to trend especially at hong kong cafe but this is definitely the best I've ever tried.

The passion fruit mango snow ice came with cubes of fresh mangoes, syrup jelly (which actually burst in your mouth upon biting) and nata de coco! And what's so good about this is that the snow ice is really flavoursome and doesn't contain any artificial colouring and flavouring!

Though it's a little pricey as compared to a lot more kinds of snow ice out there, this is worth it!

Macaron fever Smile Jan 29, 2014

Good morning folks, look what I've gotten myself again! Half a dozen of colourful pretty little things, 6 pieces of macarons from canele.

What flavours did I choose this time, you must thinking: Rose, salted caramel, hazelnut, feuilletine, chocolate noir and raspberry (special flavour of the month). I really love the rose macaron a lot, though I'm not a fan of bandung! The rest are really good too. To be honest, I can't find any faults to which aren't nice at all!

Trust me, they have one of the best macarons in singapore! Do try them lol

Located a the heart of Holland Village lives a quiet and exceptionally non-crowded cafe, not because the food or desserts ain't good but somehow people just miss it.

Passion fruit cheese cake ($7) and cafe latte ($4.50) for myself. The passion fruit taste actually complements really well with the cheese cake, not too sour and very delectable while the cafe latte was very mediocre. I tried my friend's Duo chocolate mousse brownie ($7) as well, the different layers of chocolate were so delicious. Just one mouth of that and you can taste the two distinct different of chocolates!

If you love to have afternoon tea or to catch up with your fellow girlfriends, this chic and quiet cafeteria will definitely have met up with your expectation. I love how all the furniture and chairs are all mis-matched but somehow giving the whimsical and quirky vibe. The only con is that they do not have a wide selection of food, purely just burgers as mains, cakes, coffee and tea.
