Soup spoon Smile Jan 28, 2014

I'm usually not a big fan of mushroom but this is an exception. Soup spoon serves healthy and nutritious soup that makes the world go wow!

This velvety mushroom soup consists of several types of wild mushrooms and it's thick and creamy. What's so good about it is that you will not get sick of drinking it. One mouth of it and you would want more! It also comes with a bread of your choice to go along with lol

I'm definitely going back to try more of their flavours! Eat clean and be happy! lol

Ultimate Indulgence of Asian Food Smile Jan 28, 2014

Categories : Chinese Soup | Bak Kut Teh

Good evening, folks! Welcome to the Asian edition of my FoodHunt in Singapore, today I am presenting to you a Singapore Unique Food. Fond by many youngster and folks, here the savoury and yummy Old Street Bak Kut Teh! Many of us who love Bak Kut Teh, can tell you what makes it so Bak Kut Teh is the spicy, peppery, (not a fan) garlicy pork broth and the slow brewed pork hind leg ( I called it this way ) a.k.a pig trotter (if I not wrong). I will start with the broth, one small spoonful of the broth makes you taste the real stuff in Singapore. Very aromatic and ridiculously nice, because the after taste lingered in my mouth (not the spicy taste, but the pork's essence in the broth). It just keeps going and going, until what's left is the meat, you can opt to refill the soup. On the other hand, the meat on the bone is extremely tasty. With a little dip of dark soya sauce, it can rocket you right away to the moon. So deliciously! The last of my highlight is the slow brewed pork hind leg, it looks like it contains more fat than you can eat in a week, but you are so wrong. The meat itself is of protein, largely protein and very small amount of fat tissue. As you use the chopstick to tear the meat, the flesh just slower peel off from the bone. This is a sign of cook to perfection, extremely tender and seductive. Hell no I aint going to skip that. If you do happen to walk around the region, go and a try! You will hook up by the flavours, be warned!

It's call the Honeymoon Dessert and it has a lot of outlets around Singapore. What's new today? Recently, I have been craving for durian and I ordered a bowl of Durian with glass jelly in vanilla sauce. Well, this bowl of durian was flavoursome and the white creamy vanilla sauce just drenched the durian with that awesome sweet taste. Your taste buds will celebrate in joy in your mouth as the durian flesh glides through your tongue. This bowl just punch a pack of flavour into your mouth, surely if you are a fan of durian you will love it!

Old town ipoh hor fun Smile Jan 27, 2014

You must be wondering why am I writing a review for such a simple dish?

This is not just simple but this is one of the better ipoh hor fun I've ever tried in singapore! The soup broth is rich of taste and I'm sure they don't put MSG in it. The hor fun noodle is very soft and silky and chicken served in it is very tender and chewy as well!

You definitely can get to have decent hor fun in singapore too, not just ipoh lol

High tea buffet Smile Jan 27, 2014

As my girlfriend and I were having some sweet tooth cravings, we decided to make a trip down to dempsey to try House's high tea buffet. It only serves high tea buffet on thursday and friday which explains why it was quite crowded on the day we went.

Upon arriving, both of us were fascinated by its decorations. Every part of the restaurant is being decorated with a homely feel, and that is why it's named as House. My favourite is the part where they display the whimsical flowers with the sweet treats!

And what do they serve for this buffet: Assorted cakes, ranging from mud chocolate to cheese to carrot to fruit and etc, mini sandwiches, different kinds of cheese, breads, sugar sticks, macarons, eclairs, puffs, mousse and many more! They also provide complimentary coffee and home-made tea.

Do give this a short, it's definitely a cozy place to chill with your friends lol
