Nutella crepe! Smile Dec 13, 2011

Categories : American | Bakery | Restaurant

Who can ever resist the temptation of sweet treats? Not me definitely! Second time visiting cheekyz chocolates and the service was still as great as before! I was welcomed by the manager of this cafe and had a choice to choose wherever I wanted to sit. Didn't even have to look at menu and I ordered the same old dessert I had the other time which is the nutella crepe with ice-cream. Crepe was very good, it consists of several thin layers which will not make you bloated and it is being spread by a large potion of nutella! Not only that, it's also served with chocolate sauce, strawberries, whipped cream and nuts. That definitely makes the nutella crepe tasted better and fresher. Not to forget, you still can choose your preferred ice-cream flavour! With good service, ambience and dessert, won't you wanna head down for a bite? (:

Toby's the dessert asylum  Smile Dec 13, 2011

Categories : American | Café | High Tea | Desserts and Cakes | Pasta | Burgers and Sandwiches | Brunch

My friends and I were looking for a restaurant to settle down for dinner and we chose to eat at toby's the dessert asylum! Ordered popcorn prawn for our appetizer but it didn't taste as good as we expected it to be. The flour was a little too much for the small-bite prawns. Our main courses were served after the appetizer. I ordered baked chicken pasta. The portion is huge and I couldn't finish it but the pasta was well mixed with the cheese and chicken. As a cheese lover, I pretty like it! Not to forget, we ordered a dessert to share, a mudpie but didn't manage to capture the image of it. As you can see from the cafe's name, it's definitely a dessert place and the mudpie was simply fabulous! Much much better than appetizers and main courses so it's a good place for friends to chill and have some dessert along with coffee or tea!

Hong kong cafe at iluma OK Dec 13, 2011

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Café

Settled down for dinner randomly at a hong kong cafe at iluma since we were so hungry. Ordered pork cutlet fried noodle. The noodle was well stirred with the sauce and vegetables but the pork cutlet was a little hard to chew. It will taste much better if they have side sauce for the pork cutlet. Overall, the service is good and it's has good ambience as iluma itself has not much people in the first place.

Mayim OK Dec 13, 2011
Categories : Dim Sum | Noodles

Had late lunch at mayim and ordered my favourite minced pork ramen which is called zha jiang mian as well. However, the standard dropped a little compared to the first time I ate. Portion is big and it was really filling. Ordered har gao (prawn dumpling) as well and luckily it still tasted as good, just that the price has increased. Service was not up to standard that day and the waitresses seemed quite unwilling to serve us. However, ambience is good and the restaurant is quiet. A good place to have high tea with friends.

Strictly pancakes OK Dec 13, 2011
Categories : Café | Desserts and Cakes

This was my second time dining in at strictly pancakes. As usual, I had to make reservation in order to secure good seats for dinner. We took our order and it took quite sometime to be served (maybe they have too many orders? I don't know). So my self chosen american breakfast came, pancakes with chipolata sausages and scrambled egg. The pancakes tasted quite normally and is a little too thick thus I felt quite bloated after eating one full piece but the chipolata sausages and scrambled egg tasted good! It's a great place for a group of friends to have dinner and chill! Price is a little expensive but all worth it for such a good ambience.
