Macha red bean bread

Macha red bean bread

I would say they are rather generous with their red beans. There are 4 slices of bread in a pack and there are equally great amount of red beans. The japan macha taste of the bread is not very strong, it simply taste slightly like green tea but overall it goes rather well with the red beans. Thus, this is a choice that one could consider.

red bean sweet dough bread

red bean sweet dough bread

This store offer a great variety of interesting bread for us to choose from and I simply wish to try everything. I tried their red bean bread and it is delicious. There are a lot of big red bean and the bread is soft and fluffy. Moreover, even without the red bean, the bread taste sweet since it is made of sweet dough as stated on its tag. Also, their bread do not really stick to your teeth. This bread would be a good choice for breakfast or snack.

TAPIOCA

TAPIOCA

The tapioca of this stall is rather stiff, which suggest that they use old tapioca. It would certainly be better and in fact important for the tapioca to be soft and easy to bite. However, I would say they give quite generous amount of coconut milk to go with the tapioca, and importantly, the coconut milk is fresh.

LAKSA

LAKSA

The laksa gravy of this sauce is great which is extremely important. It uses fresh coconut milk and the laksa leaves make it really fragrant. The spiciness is alright and the serving given is rather acceptable too. I love the tau pok as they totally absorbed the gravy and are soft. $2.50 for a bowl of delicious laksa is rather reasonable too.

I ordered the lunch set at Blu Jaz which I found to be absolutely value for money. It comprise of the soup of the day (corn soup) , main course which is grilled dory with tomato sauce, dessert (cheese cake) as well as coffee or tea. This set only cost $10.70 and there is no service charge at this cafe. The corn soup is very creamy and it comes with a crispy and fragrant garlic bread. The dory fish is marinated well and complement perfectly with the tomato sauce. I love the wedges the most as it is crispy and taste nicer than elsewhere. Although the cheese cake is rather small but it is soft and delicious, and you do not get sick of it. Overall, it is satisfying experience at the cafe.
